Went in to try the Matty Bowl. Order that and an original bowl. The Matty bowl had 3 or 4 fries and a few cheese curd and chicken. Nothing that would be enough for any adult. I went to the counter, fully expecting the person to be embarrassed and say no that’s not correct. No they did not, according to them that’s what you get. Disappointed- so if you’re thinking of stopping in for a Matty bowl save your money unless you need a snack.

So, it’s a KFC, so nothing fancy and it’s literally in the seediest part of Garner but the chicken is worth it. We’ve popped in many times over the past 20 years and the service is always quick and the food is always piping hot. Today I tried the pot pie with some mashed potatoes and it was SO YUMMY. See ya next time KFC!!!

Incompetent workers, cold and clearly old chicken and ALWAYS missing something from my order. Save yourself the headache and visit another location. My latest order was supposed to be a 6-piece assorted extra crispy bucket and instead I received a sad bucket of dry wings. Not what I ordered. Additionally there was a hair embedded in one of the pieces. And the cherry on top was that I ordered a chicken mini and that was missing from my order and the employee was unhelpful in resolving. Horrible location.

2 piece ordered a breast and a wing and received a leg and a breast! Asked dasher for extra butter and got zero. 5 pc. Mashed Potato Poppers were creamy and tasted amazing especially dipped in the gravy but they are an expensive treat for $.80 each. Love the fries that are seasoned perfectly
UPDATE: 9/19/25
3 pc. Chicken Combo, fries and Apple Pie Poppers all delivered hot and fresh. Apple Pie Poppers crust was nice and flaky and a bit sweet but the apple pie filling had no taste?!?! UPDATE 10/23/25 Individual thigh delivered still warm, fresh and delicious. Potato Wedges and biscuit were cold and not fresh. 5 piece Mashed Potato Poppers were missing from my order entirely. Way too many problems with this delivery!! UPDATE 12/11/25 5 pc. Mashed Potato Poppers and Chicken Tender both missing sauces that were suppose to be included! Now they are both dry and boring especially the over cooked tough, chewy Chicken Tender! Potato Wedges fresh and delicious. Pie Poppers although not fresh still tasted ok. UPDATE 2/23/2026
All my food was delivered fresh and still warm! 5 pc. Mashed Potato Poppers were supposed to include gravy and ranch and once again it is missing!!! Why are sauces NEVER included?!?!?!

Bought three piece tender meal for $10+. Got three tenders smaller than my index finger. No question why KFC is struggling. The worker never smiled, never said anything to me, never took off his gloves while handing money then food.

I ordered the original chicken sandwich meal at the drive thru. The lady working the window yesterday gave me the wrong items. I told her and she exploded on me. I was so shocked and I lived in Baltimore for 22 years. I could not believe that she was making such an ordeal in a very angry attitude. She even told me that she hoped that I never came back and I promise I never will. She parked me to get my sandwich. I waited for 10 minutes…and in the bag was a chicken breast with 2 wet buns, as if they had been run through with water. I didnt even eat it. I don’t pay $12 for a meal just to be treated like crap.

Went through the drive through about 9:30pm and they had trouble taking the order because we tried to order something that was apparently only available if ordered online. So totally our fault but that had to leave for a few minutes to figure that out lol. We did order extra bbq sauce on a sandwich for the pregnant person in the car and they were the first place to ever reach the appropriate level of sauce. Good job it was drenched to perfection.

Absolutely the WORST KFC location.
I have been a frequent customer of KFC for years. The meals here are literally good to give your dogs-hopefully. The soda machine apparently was broken for weeks based on responses from staff. No ice being dispensed. The liver (see bill below), you better off at Costco. No taste poorly done.
Go somewhere else if you need a better service

This is by far the worst KFC I’ve ever been to. I will never return to this location as I would rather travel 12-15 miles to Clayton or Fuquay than continue to give my patronage to this particular location.

Let’s talk about service, or lack thereof. Today, I ordered via the mobile app: a chicken nugget combo, a tenders gravy feast, potato poppers, and a chicken little. Let me repeat, I did this through the mobile app. All you have to do is read the order and put it in the bag. The first service issue is that I drove up to the drive thru and told the person on the other side of the speaker that I had a mobile order.

His response: “We don’t do mobile orders in the drive thru when it’s busy. You’re going to have to come inside.” Annoyed, I drove to a parking space near the front door, and my husband went in to get it. Did he immediately grab it and come back outside as one might expect by the “Please get from the quick pick up” instructions posted on the app? No, he did not. When he finally came outside with the bag of food and the drinks, he said he ended up having to shout to someone in the back because he could see our name on the bag of food behind the counter where he could not reach it. If you’re not willing to hand me the bag and drinks through the drive-thru window, then you better have it readily accessible when the customer walks in the door.

Let’s get back to that reading thing. I’m not sure if an inability to read simple order information is a common theme at all fast food restaurants, but I’m still baffled by how often it happens everywhere (not solely at this sorry excuse of a KFC). Missing from the order were French fries, one of the gravies, and the chicken little. So, now I had to deal with customer service to get a partial refund on my order because the employees cannot be bothered to double-check that everything that was paid for on the mobile order (again, an order that is clearly written out for them) is in the bag.

Now, let’s talk about food. I mean, it’s KFC, it will never be a 5-star meal. But why does it feel like when you order tenders from KFC, they are taking a normal-sized chicken tenderloin like what you might see in a grocery store and splitting it into 5 skinny, barely any chicken, pieces and trying to pass it off as a tender? Each piece in that box was thinner than a pencil and tougher than leather. Since all prices have exponentially skyrocketed over the last few years, that just feels so unacceptable.
