This is the second time this has happened. We assumed it was spit the first time. We got a call from the store owner saying that it’s not spit, but mold from the drink container. “None of my guys would ever spit in a drink” well good to know your guys hand out moldy drinks still. Well, I see now that nothing has changed 6 months later. I took the previous review down, but this one will stay up. Do better! You’re going to make people sick. It really makes me wonder what else doesn’t get cleaned properly. Telling the 100% truth, y’all need to close for a week and deep clean. Retrain staff on how to clean properly. I’ve worked in fast food before and never had this issue.

I went to the drive thru on 12/13/2025 around 3:50pm ordered 2/12 piece hot wings. African American woman in her late 20s early 30s dark complexion, no glasses, with small plats in her head said only have one 12 piece and 6 wings. I said are you cooking more wings, she was very nasty and unprofessional and said you would have to wait. I told her I don’t mind waiting and she caught an attitude. I drove up to the window, swiped my card, no receipt, told me they will bring out my food and closed the drive thru window. I was nice and went inside the restaurant to wait on my food, so they wouldn’t have to bring it to me. I waited 10 minutes and asked the status. Oh it’s going to be 9 minutes, thought minutes already passed. I asked to speak with the manager, yeah unfortunately it was the woman at the window who took my order and she didn’t want to speak with me. Manager placed the wings on the counter and said order ready and walked away. I feel sorry for the employees that work with her. There are PLENTY OF PPL OUT HERE OUT OF JOBS. HIRE SOMEONE WITH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. PLEASE!

Went to the drive-thru to purchase a 16 piece mix of extra crispy and original recipe Meal with dipping sauce. After paying they told me to move forward a bit, they will bring it out. Same with the car behind me and another behind him. 20 minutes later the guy behind me went in and walked out with his order. 8 minutes after that I went in to get my order. 28 minutes later. Keep in mind I started in the DRIVE THRU. No warnings during order of wait time. The person behind the counter said “we were going to bring it out in a few”.Once I returned to the office there were no extra crispy in the bucket. The chicken was cold and no sauce. I understand now why the Popeyes next door always has a line and kfc doesn’t. I highly recommend not going to that kfc. Not saying all kfc is bad. Just the one in la plata. Never again.

When you pay over $50 for a 16 pierce meal. When we go to the counter to pick it up, I said to him.This is four pieces of each part of the chicken, right? The shift manager tells me we ran out of wings so I gave you extra thighs and legs. I said that’s not gonna work.The wings are the reason why I came.He said it’ll be another 14 minutes.
So we waited to get home to find there are no breast at all.In the bucket, that costs me over $50.00. Never again

Just went to grab a quick lunch and the food is sooo disappointing. I got a nuggets and fries meal and the food is hot but WAY undercooked. The fries are soggy and almost white. When I bite into the chicken it oozes out oil and the meat doesn’t seem fully cooked either. I’m throwing almost all of it into the trash.

Only good thing was the customer service at the drive thru. She was very nice.

I didn’t return the meal because I had limited time to eat.

I recently had a visit to KFC La Plata in Maryland, and overall, I had a positive experience. This location has had its fair share of challenges, from being destroyed in a tornado in 2002 to navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these hurdles, KFC La Plata has managed to adapt by offering To-Go Delivery and a mobile app for ordering.

Ordering through the mobile app was a breeze, and I was impressed by the speed of service. Upon entering the restaurant, I found it to be clean both inside and outside, which is always a plus.

However, I did notice some competition from a Louisiana-based fried chicken restaurant next door, which seemed to be much busier. Perhaps KFC La Plata could consider using social media, engaging with their app users, and local advertising to increase their visibility and stand out from the competition.

While the order was hot and the service was efficient, I did find that the quality of the chicken seemed slightly different from what I remember. It felt like the original recipe had been lightened up a bit, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the specials on the app were limited, and there were only a few in-house specials available on certain days.

One thing to note is that without the specials, the price points at KFC La Plata can be quite high compared to simply getting roasted or fried chicken from a local grocery store. However, I believe that if KFC La Plata continues to offer enticing specials and promotions, it could attract more customers and encourage repeat visits.

Overall, I had a satisfactory experience at KFC La Plata, and I may consider returning in the future if they offer more specials. This location is the last one in the area for about 15+ miles, making it a convenient option for those residing in King George, Virginia, and south of Waldorf, Maryland. With some strategic marketing efforts, KFC La Plata can increase its notability and become the go-to fast food fried chicken restaurant in the area.

Ordered chicken tenders, 3 piece, which is a#4. She gave us a 4 piece meal and said that’s what I ordered. She was too busy complaining that she and the other employee were the only ones working. The entire time we were eating, she was talking about us and how we ordered the wrong thing and tried to blame her. Don’t think she had a name tag on.Very loud and rude. Customer isn’t right here
