Upon entering the restaurant, there was a long line and several employees moving quickly to manage the volume of orders. When I approached the counter to provide my name for the pickup, I was abruptly spoken to by an individual who appeared to be a manager (either a shift or general manager). I was told, in a sharp and dismissive tone, that I would have to wait because there were “20 orders trying to get out” and that my name would be called when ready. While I completely understand delays during busy periods, the manner in which this was communicated was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. The same individual also repeatedly complained aloud about their shift ending soon and being unable to leave due to outstanding orders, which added to the uncomfortable environment for customers.
At least eight customers were waiting patiently, and no one was behaving in a disruptive or disrespectful way. Each customer simply approached the counter to check on their order, yet instead of being politely informed of delays, many were spoken to harshly and scolded by the manager. Although I do not have personal experience working in retail or food service, I do know that customer service should always be handled with courtesy and respect. Stressful situations do not justify taking frustration out on paying customers or speaking to them as if they are incapable of understanding.
We waited approximately 45 minutes for our order to be completed. Even after the food appeared to be ready, it was not immediately bagged or handed out. I stood at the counter for several minutes without acknowledgment, despite five to six employees working at the time. Eventually, at around 6:45 p.m., our meals were handed to us. The lack of communication and attentiveness felt inconsiderate, especially for customers who may have had time constraints. Plus, the biscuits were not cooked all the way, and the coleslaw was warm.
One particularly frustrating moment occurred when the manager offered free apple pie poppers to an older gentleman as a gesture of appreciation for waiting approximately 20 minutes. While I have no issue with a customer being compensated, it was disheartening that many of us waited significantly longer—some even leaving due to the delay—yet were not treated with the same courtesy, fairness, or respect.
The issue is not that complimentary food was offered, but that customer service was applied inconsistently.
I am not writing this to place blame unnecessarily, but rather to emphasize the importance of professionalism and proper customer interaction. A calm, respectful approach—even during busy or stressful shifts—makes a significant difference. I believe the employees working that evening, particularly those in leadership roles, would benefit from being reminded of appropriate customer service standards and communication expectations.
Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback. I hope it can be used constructively to improve future customer experiences at this location.
But service, atmosphere and Price is excellent.
If you haven’t tried the pot pie give that a shot. Takes great and it’s a pretty full pie.
For one this restaurant was filthy, disgusting, trash everywhere , I placed my order at 755, at 820 I got up an asked about my food the manager Kelly told me I can wait, or leave , I said I’ll take a refund, she maid me wait another 15 mins for the refund, this was the most unprofessional manager ive ever came in contact with, and I go their 2/3 times a week and spend 50$ a visit, and there was another mail manager also who had a couple choice words to say in the background, but I didn’t get his name. I would like someone to reach out to me. I’m taking this all the way to corporate as far as I can so I appreciate someone getting back to me. If not, I’ll leave another review tomorrow until someone gets back to me
