The wait was a little long ( 5 minutes late from hour lunch), but ohhhhhhhh so worth it! I could barely stop myself from licking the plate! I had oxtail in brown gravy over rice with a side of collard greens. It was amazing! The gelatinous ox tail, the flavorful gravy over the tender rice. The collards seasoned just right with the perfect dose of vinegar goodness. Homemade corn bread, homemade! I can’t wait to eat here again!

We have been driving past this place for a couple of years and never tried it.
Last night we looked up the reviews and decided to give it a chance.
WELL, our waitress Jessica made us feel like family. The food was excellent
in all cases from tasty mac and cheese to the out of this world shrimp (especially the fried and the Buffalo shrimp).
For shrimp, my wife and I will make this our “go to” spot.
We are already talking about picking up to go after work.

When my family and I walked into Kevin’s Crab Shac, the restaurant was empty maybe two other people in there I’m not sure and I do not recall. It took some time for the waitress to order our drinks and when the drinks arrived they tasted well…not like what we ordered. I ordered Sprite and let’s just say the Sprite did not taste like Sprite. I looked at the menu and yes, they did have options that sounded delicious. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and guess what, they did not give me the shrimp Alfredo, they messed up my order. But that’s fine it didn’t really bother me that much ,what bothered me is that what they gave me tasted like … no. I informed waitress that what she served me was not the correct dish I ordered, so she gave me the shrimp Alfredo. And let me tell you when I put the shrimp Alfredo in my mouth… I said what in the TV dinner is this?!?! It tastes like it had freezer burn for 3 years. I simply could not finish the dish, so I ask for to go box and then I tried eating it at home, and then a few hours later I was in the toilet… for a very long time, their food gave me the runs.
Update:When I went on Google Maps to go check up on Kevin’s Crab Shack I saw that it was permanently closed I don’t know if my review contributed to the closing but I’m just saying it’s what this restaurant deserves. Judging by the fact that there is nobody in the restaurant when we were in there that should have been a major red flag to get up out of there, but I was like hey support “smaller” businesses. Let’s just say it’s in the top five worst things I’ve ever done in my life.

Heard about the good southern cooking. Went there to try the pork chops and oxtail. Oxtail was popular because they were out. So I got the whole slab of country style BBQ ribs and they were amazing! Awesome sauce! Teeters on best ever. I would consider myself a BBQ connoisseur… I’m not asking you to believe me, I’m asking you to prove me wrong or prove me right. Recommend it!

This was our first and, unfortunately, will most likely be our last visit. It took 2 1/2 hours to get our food which was pretty average but not good enough to make up for the very poor service. The wait staff had no customer service skills, no hustle, no initiative and no social skills. There was one gentlemen who introduced himself as the manager/new owner and apologized for the long waits; he was very nice but everyone else seemed oblivious that we were there or anything was wrong. ( such as we sat there for the 1st hour without drink refills or food!) I wish them much improvement in the future.

Had the shrimp lovers platter which tasted great and tasted fresh. I will certainly be back to try the ribs since they are not available until after 2:30. The smell of smoker in the parking was a sure sign of freshly smoked ribs that I’m sure will not disappoint on my next visit.

Such an AWFUL experience. Just completely understaffed and didn’t bring half my meal then tried to charge me full price. My entire party either had cold food or messed it up or just plain never got their meal. Don’t waste your time here. Mattison city grill is on point though. Live music and great service

I’m from Buffalo, NY and looked for a sea food restaurant on Google and found this place! We arrived here Tuesday evening 8-16 about 730 pm and we’re welcomed with a very welcoming “Hello, welcome pick any seat”. There was four of us, ordered Joe’s #1, Admirals feast, ribs and catfish. All meals were very good, will come back again when we are in the area again! All meals were very reasonable priced. Staff was very polite and helpful! Thank you Kevin’s Crab Shack for a geart break to end our day!

Pretty decent food but they were out of a lot of items that they had listed on the menu. Waitresses changed half way through our meal, but for the most part customer service was good. A little on the pricey side, but there are affordable options.
