Don’t let the dated exterior fool you!
While passing through Tucson, we spotted The Kettle just off I-10 and decided to stop in for breakfast. The buffet looked decent, but we weren’t that hungry, so we asked if we could split an entrée from the menu. Not only was the answer yes, but our server made sure the kitchen plated it perfectly for two and the portion was more than enough.
The food was hot, fresh, well-presented, simple, satisfying, and just what we needed.
What really turned this stop from average to outstanding was BEATRICE, our server. She was welcoming, cheerful, and genuinely engaging, the kind of person who turns a meal into a great memory. Her energy and attentiveness made it feel like we were regulars, not just travelers passing through.
If you’re in the area, stop in for breakfast, lunch,or dinner and you might get lucky and be seated in Beatrice’s section. Big thanks to Beatrice and the entire staff for a delicious, affordable, and memorable meal.

An Artist & A Kitchen
Passion at the door. Old school owner operator taking care of business! Though it looked unfilled, the buffet table was fresh, full and ready to serve. My catfish dinner was perfect crisp, flaked with whiskers and delicious! This place has been around for a long time, and it is operating like a beat of drum! It reminds me of a neighbor New York deli staple grinding for those that know where the good eats is at. Don’t let the faded tile roof discourage your wondering eyes, this place has good food and priced right!

AYCE breakfast!!! Everything you want, eggs, eggs with chorizo, sausage, bacon, waffles, pancakes bacon, fruits, red and white menudo jalapeños, hash browns, potatoes, HAM, BACON!!!!!!!!!!!! biscuits and gravy….the staff is the greatest, best servers , best service, and kept well stocked….a.must try … great food with down home diner feeling…oh and BACON!!!!!!

This is an older / dated restaurant with a large, diverse menu and an all you can eat buffet ($16 as if Feb 2026). The owner / manager was extremely friendly and seemed to know many of the local patrons. Overall, it was a good value. The buffet we had a good variety, but overall quality was just average. That said, they had tons of food available so no need to feel limited. Give this place a try and help them stay in business.

At Kettle restaurant we are always welcome with a friendly attitude. Kettle’s owner has a special personality, friendly and warm welcome all the time. The personal are all very kind offering a great service.
Kettle it’s one of the best restaurants for me and my husband is our favorite places. I love to go more often some times twice a week. We love their soups and salad bar is always fresh. The menu breakfast, lunch and dined are grate and very rich. Food is always fresh and super delicious. It’s hard to decide when it comes down to place the order.
Most of the time we choose to have all you can eat buffet, ice cream and homemade cake desert.
Often I organizing lunch with church community.
This year I organized a surprise lunch on Father’s Day with the entire church and everyone had a great time.
We always recommend the “Kettle Restaurant” to all my friends

We were in town for the gem show and we stopped here since it was in our hotel parking lot. This place was a Tucson gem itself! We heard they had great catfish and shrimp and when we arrived there was none. We told the manager and he went out of his way to personally bring us a huge plate of each that were extremely fresh! They were large long shrimp, something we never get even at seafood restaurants when ordering fried shrimp. Then he brought us two boxes, two pieces of cheesecake to go and tossed in two apples and two bananas! We will definitely be eating here again and look forward to returning to Tucson just for this establishment! Thank you so much for making this such a great experience for us!

The food was fresher and lighter than the typical greasy-spoon-diner fare. I had a fluffy 3-egg omelet, with 4 free ingredients, which comes with the typical potato-option side (hash browns, home fries, potato). Coffee cup was small, but the coffee was bottomless. The servers took a little longer than expected to bring our food, and the restaurant was not particularly busy. Atmosphere did have above-average tables and chairs for this type of restaurant, and plenty of room on the dining floor.
There was an all-you-can-eat buffet that attracted the usual suspects, so one cannot get too judgy about your fellow patrons and enjoy this place. It’s Tucson; it’s America; and this restaurant is modern-day Western Americana.

Food is not very good and the prices are high. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich and it tasted like dog food. Literally the frozen microwave sandwiches from the supermarket are better than this. I’ve had other things here that are mediocre in quality but there are better options – even Denny’s is much better. I’d go to waffle house instead.
