Our bartender took the time to explain the menu and how the food is sourced, which was impressive. The rest of the staff was just as welcoming and informative. It felt genuine—unlike a lot of other places that just try to move you along.
The atmosphere was great, with beautiful views. The clam chowder bread bowl was one of the best we had on the entire trip. But if there’s one thing you have to try, it’s the halibut fish and chips—hands down some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world.
I can’t wait to come back to this town and enjoy a long, relaxed meal here again.
Located in the Salmon Landing Market right in the heart of the tourist area, this spot has an easygoing, casual vibe with warm nautical decor. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and we were able to get a table right away. The space was very clean and inviting — a great place to relax and enjoy fresh Alaskan seafood.
Service – 5 stars
Our server, Tiffany, was absolutely fantastic — super friendly, helpful, and checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. Excellent, attentive service from start to finish.
Food – 5 stars
Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side — but completely worth it. We had the best King Crab we’ve ever tasted, along with halibut fish and chips that were cooked to perfection. The clam chowder was rich and flavorful. When in Alaska, you’ve got to treat yourself, and this is the place to do it. Don’t skip the King Crab legs — they’re a must!
Did not disappoint!
The Greenhorn was a perfect sized meal for myself since my wife isn’t a fan of crab. I also got the half Dungeness. Also tried the clam chowder. Dungeness was a good option but the King Crab was the star of the show.
Service was friendly and food was served quickly. Overall great experience and worth the stop.
The red king crab was succulent and so flavorful even though is served chilled. The crab fries are pricey but so worth it and much better than Maryland’s crab fries.
I tried so hard to go find a place further away from the cruise terminal just cause you figure it’s all just tourist trap places not focused as much on quality.
After losing that battle with my family, we were all happy to have found this place. It was steady traffic. Even getting there at the beginning of lunch we were seated (party of 4) within 10 minutes.
It’s not a large dining room, and there is also patio seating.
Servers were very helpful and polite/professional.
This is a crab joint and they do it well and quick.
We also ordered the chowder and the halibut & chips.
Food came out in short order and we got to work. It was SO much crab. It comes cold with hot/warm butter. Went well with the local draft beer. For the amount of crab, the bucket looked tiny, but it ended up being the perfect size. There was so much meat on the dungeness and king.
The halibut was good, and completely overshadowed by the crab. The chowder had a sweetness to it from the fresh seafood in it.
Highly recommend.
