If you like good home cooking, you won’t regret going here! This place was DELICIOUS! Family owned and operated, very friendly. Perfect portions, you don’t leave full for sure. Everything was so good, and it was all perfectly cooked. Pork chops fried perfectly! I highly recommend them, and the creamed corn, and the blueberry dump cake.

Located right downtown, in Hartford, this charming family restaurant was a pleasure to dine at for lunch. Both myself, and my fiancé found the country cooking to be excellent. The restaurant is family friendly, clean, with a nice small-town decor. We go to Alabama, often, and will surely visit again. The prices and amount of awesome country cooking, makes this a great stop on our road trips. Two lunch specials, with dessert and tea was only around $13 each, and we left full.

We happened to be rolling through Hartford, Alabama and since it was close to lunchtime decided to give it a try. Wow! The ambience was perfect in this converted historical building. Our server, Meghan was attentive, quick and gave great suggestions. The food was perfect. I had the chicken tenders, a baked potato, turnip greens, hush puppies and pecan cobbler. Everything was perfect right down to the fact that they also served actual butter with the meal not buttery spread. The cooks obviously takes a lot of pride in the food they prepare. It’s rare to have every element of a meal so good, usually something falls a little short but not here – perfection! We highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back when we are in the area.

My husband and I just ate at Ketchem’s restauran in Hartford. I have to say the food was unbelievably good. The food came out so fast and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be back. If you haven’t eaten there you’re missing out for sure.

Friends took us after church to eat. Had ham with Mac & cheese and two desserts so I could report on ’em (your welcome!). Good food! The blueberry dessert was the best but the pecan cobbler was a close second. Good service, food came fast, and lots of seating meant we didn’t have to wait. Old building with great embience. Don’t miss your chance to eat there.
