WOW! I’ve been to other upscale restaurants, but this one truly stands out. The only reason it’s 4 stars instead of 5 is because, even with a 7:30 reservation, we had to wait about 20 minutes for a window table.

While waiting, my girlfriend and I enjoyed the Lychee Blossom and Dragon cocktails—both amazing. Once seated, the view completely changed the mood; my girlfriend lit up like a Christmas tree. We started with the Tower and took a quick walk around the 360 observatory for some great photos before our food arrived.

When it did… wow. The presentation was immaculate, and every dish had its own unique flavor and story. It felt like the scene from ratatouille when remy mixes the different foods with his brother, just magical. We paired it with a bottle of Dassai 45 sake, which had us both dancing by the end of the night.

Absolutely loved this place—highly recommend!

We recently celebrated my birthday at this amazing sushi spot, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The drinks were outstanding, uniquely crafted and full of flavour. The sushi was absolutely delicious, with a special shoutout to the sashimi, which was fresh and perfectly prepared.

The views of Dallas from the 50th floor were absolutely breathtaking and added such a magical touch to the evening!

What truly made the night unforgettable was the incredible service. Our server, Alexis, was so patient in walking us through the menu and gave us fantastic recommendations. She made the evening feel extra special with her warmth and kindness, and even took some beautiful pictures of us to capture the memories.

Thanks to the wonderful food, stunning views, amazing drinks, and especially the exceptional service, my birthday dinner turned into a truly memorable occasion. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special dining experience!

We had an amazing experience at Kessaku. Funny enough, one of my favorite restaurants is The Monarch, which is actually located right below Kessaku, but it never occurred to me to try dining here before. My date discovered that Kessaku offers sushi, and knowing it was right above The Monarch made the idea of going even more exciting — like finding a hidden gem right where you’d least expect it.

The ambiance was beautiful, and our waitress was an absolute doll — super friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through the menu, which made the whole experience even better.

Now, the sushi… wow. It was absolutely incredible. I’ve had some amazing sushi on the West Coast, so I have pretty high standards, and I have to say — Kessaku definitely delivered. Each roll was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor.

We also tried the ramen, which was interesting — not bad, but the noodles were a bit on the mushy side for my taste, so I probably wouldn’t order that again . Still, everything else more than made up for it.

All in all, this was such a great dining experience. It’s one of those places that feels upscale without being stuffy, and I’ll definitely be coming back — especially for the sushi!

Great for drinks and sunset, not so much for dinner. It’s a great spot to grab a drink, unwind, and catch the sunset with friends. The vibe is stylish but chill, and it’s usually not too crowded (no need to make reservation in advance ).

But for the foods…. Honestly, it felt more like a bar with sushi than a proper restaurant. The menu is super limited, and aside from the dessert, nothing really stood out. The Edamame had a weird metallic taste, like it was cooked on a pan that hadn’t been properly cleaned. Just not appetizing.

Heads up: they do require valet parking (which need to be paid), and guys must wear collared shirts. Also, if you’re walking up from Monarch via the stairs on the 49th floor — be extra careful. It’s super dark and kind of sketchy. Easy to trip if you’re not paying attention…

Come here for the view and a drink, it’s okay . But if you’re looking for a satisfying dinner? Better look elsewhere…

So im torn on this review, on one hand the food was soo delicious and on the other there was a list of issues. Here’s the good, we ordered king crab roll and salmon roll absolutely amazing it was so good we ordered more, the dessert amazing, drinks great and service ok to good. Now here’s the bad, The menu is way to limited, its ridiculous you need to expand and give options. This will get old and ppl will just go to the monarch instead. Why not expand since your chef is obviously awesome?? Creating this scarce menu will only drive ppl somewhere else. The view of course is beautiful its downtown dallas you cant go wrong. However if you want that view you have to sit at the world’s smallest table in uncomfortable seats to see it. The restaurant is small and doesn’t have a great lay out, then including bulky booths and tiny end tables makes it so hard to be comfortable. My husband took me here for the first time for my birthday, and insisted we sit in front of the view, you need to fix this issue theres no room to put the food on the table! The other issue is there is no proper signage once you walk up the stairs past monarch, you’re kibda lost figuring out where to go… i hate to give a bad review because the food is great, but you have to fix these issues.

Very welcoming adventure. Valet is available and the best option since its located downtown. Had reservations and it’s better. They do greet you with champagne at the lobby and they guide you to the elevator. The restaurant is one more floor above the steakhouse. But the restaurant is delicious. The views are amazing. The caviar was delicious and the cocktails to die for! ❤️ I would love to do it all over again.

An amazing restaurant ruined by terrible service. My wife and I had been looking forward to coming here for a long time. I made a reservation for two on Valentine’s Day, and we were so excited. They sat us down at a half booth, half table, and everything was great. About 20 minutes later, they came up and said we needed to share the table with another couple. We politely told them that we didn’t want to sit with another couple since we booked a table for two. It was Valentine’s Day; it’s supposed to be intimate. I didn’t want to sit shoulder to shoulder with a random person in a booth.

They then got the manager, who came over and made it seem like it was a ridiculous request that we didn’t want to share a table with a random couple. The manager showed no sympathy at all and was really rude about it. We finally decided just to leave. We had booked the reservation a month in advance and weren’t going to share a table because they overbooked the restaurant. Just a horrible experience all around with horrible management. Avoid Kessaku at all costs. The terrible hospitality ruined the experience.

Stopped by Kessaku for a cocktail, and wow—what a spot. Sitting on top of the Thompson Hotel, it’s got some of the best views in Dallas. There’s a walkway that wraps around the entire top, so you can take in the city from every angle. Perfect for golden hour or just soaking in the skyline at night.

Didn’t stay for food this time, but the vibe was sleek and intimate, and the drink was great. Definitely one of those places that makes you want to come back for the full experience. If you’re looking for a gorgeous view with a solid cocktail in hand, this is the place.

Worst dining experience I’ve had in Dallas… my girlfriends and I came here for drinks and apps before our reservation at Monarch. We were seated for 20 minutes before we were greeted by anyone. Finally a waitress (not ours) comes by to take our drink order.

Our drinks come and 10 minutes later our waitress finally comes to greet the table. We had pushed our table away from booth a little bit so that we could get into the booth. The first thing our waitress said to us was “I see we’ve rearranged the furniture ourselves” in the most passive aggressive way possible. She goes to get water for the table and as she filling them we are chatting and catching up. Next thing we know she is aggressively pulling and moving the table with our full drinks on it splashing all over…. Then walks away before we were even able to order anything.

By the time she comes back we have 10 minutes until our dinner reservation and no time to order an app or any more drinks. As I begin to ask for the check she interrupts me to go over the specials. We listen to her two minute pitch of all the specials, following which I had to tell her we won’t have time to order anything anymore because we have reservations downstairs. She said “k” and rolls her eyes as she walks away clearly irritated…before we can ask for the check. We watch her walk up to another server to chat while they both stare down our table… leaving us feeling very uncomfortable

By the time she comes back we’re 5 minutes past our reservation time and itching to get out of here. We could not leave fast enough! I have not been to a restaurant here in Dallas that was so unwelcoming and honestly just rude. We were super excited to try the place out after it was recommended by a friend and the ambiance inside looked great… way to many good sushi places in Dallas to pay to be treated like this by your employees …
