While waiting, my girlfriend and I enjoyed the Lychee Blossom and Dragon cocktails—both amazing. Once seated, the view completely changed the mood; my girlfriend lit up like a Christmas tree. We started with the Tower and took a quick walk around the 360 observatory for some great photos before our food arrived.
When it did… wow. The presentation was immaculate, and every dish had its own unique flavor and story. It felt like the scene from ratatouille when remy mixes the different foods with his brother, just magical. We paired it with a bottle of Dassai 45 sake, which had us both dancing by the end of the night.
Absolutely loved this place—highly recommend!
Well done….well run and worth the suplurge of the holidays or any special occasion…..I can still taste the king crab and waygu jalapeños roll was soo good had to order 2 ….. yup my mouth just started watering while I was writing this. 🙂
The views of Dallas from the 50th floor were absolutely breathtaking and added such a magical touch to the evening!
What truly made the night unforgettable was the incredible service. Our server, Alexis, was so patient in walking us through the menu and gave us fantastic recommendations. She made the evening feel extra special with her warmth and kindness, and even took some beautiful pictures of us to capture the memories.
Thanks to the wonderful food, stunning views, amazing drinks, and especially the exceptional service, my birthday dinner turned into a truly memorable occasion. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special dining experience!
The ambiance was beautiful, and our waitress was an absolute doll — super friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through the menu, which made the whole experience even better.
Now, the sushi… wow. It was absolutely incredible. I’ve had some amazing sushi on the West Coast, so I have pretty high standards, and I have to say — Kessaku definitely delivered. Each roll was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor.
We also tried the ramen, which was interesting — not bad, but the noodles were a bit on the mushy side for my taste, so I probably wouldn’t order that again . Still, everything else more than made up for it.
All in all, this was such a great dining experience. It’s one of those places that feels upscale without being stuffy, and I’ll definitely be coming back — especially for the sushi!
But for the foods…. Honestly, it felt more like a bar with sushi than a proper restaurant. The menu is super limited, and aside from the dessert, nothing really stood out. The Edamame had a weird metallic taste, like it was cooked on a pan that hadn’t been properly cleaned. Just not appetizing.
Heads up: they do require valet parking (which need to be paid), and guys must wear collared shirts. Also, if you’re walking up from Monarch via the stairs on the 49th floor — be extra careful. It’s super dark and kind of sketchy. Easy to trip if you’re not paying attention…
Come here for the view and a drink, it’s okay . But if you’re looking for a satisfying dinner? Better look elsewhere…
They then got the manager, who came over and made it seem like it was a ridiculous request that we didn’t want to share a table with a random couple. The manager showed no sympathy at all and was really rude about it. We finally decided just to leave. We had booked the reservation a month in advance and weren’t going to share a table because they overbooked the restaurant. Just a horrible experience all around with horrible management. Avoid Kessaku at all costs. The terrible hospitality ruined the experience.
Didn’t stay for food this time, but the vibe was sleek and intimate, and the drink was great. Definitely one of those places that makes you want to come back for the full experience. If you’re looking for a gorgeous view with a solid cocktail in hand, this is the place.
Our drinks come and 10 minutes later our waitress finally comes to greet the table. We had pushed our table away from booth a little bit so that we could get into the booth. The first thing our waitress said to us was “I see we’ve rearranged the furniture ourselves” in the most passive aggressive way possible. She goes to get water for the table and as she filling them we are chatting and catching up. Next thing we know she is aggressively pulling and moving the table with our full drinks on it splashing all over…. Then walks away before we were even able to order anything.
By the time she comes back we have 10 minutes until our dinner reservation and no time to order an app or any more drinks. As I begin to ask for the check she interrupts me to go over the specials. We listen to her two minute pitch of all the specials, following which I had to tell her we won’t have time to order anything anymore because we have reservations downstairs. She said “k” and rolls her eyes as she walks away clearly irritated…before we can ask for the check. We watch her walk up to another server to chat while they both stare down our table… leaving us feeling very uncomfortable
By the time she comes back we’re 5 minutes past our reservation time and itching to get out of here. We could not leave fast enough! I have not been to a restaurant here in Dallas that was so unwelcoming and honestly just rude. We were super excited to try the place out after it was recommended by a friend and the ambiance inside looked great… way to many good sushi places in Dallas to pay to be treated like this by your employees …
