The wait was a little too long. I got a pasta dish. The flavor was good, but the food was cold in the middle. It’s disappointing because it could’ve been a good experience but missed the mark. When the food is served correctly, it is actually quite good. Partners meals were at an appropriate temperature and all was well.

We decided to takeout from here tonight… we should have looked at the recent reviews because we had the same experience. I was not impressed. As I sit here with my husband and 2 upset stomachs, we will not be eating food from here for a while, if ever again. I ordered a Large Hawaiian pizza with mushrooms and green peppers, a side of fried squash. My husband ordered a meat calzone. I will say the fried squash was good, just needed some salt. The lady that answered the phone was also kind and helpful which is always a plus nowadays. We were told 15-20 minutes. My husband said there was only 1 table of people in the restaurant. We asked for a big cup of ranch, they apparently only have very small cups for like $4…Okay whatever, we’ll just eat the hidden valley at the house. Next, my husband brings home the food, the pizza was kind of cold and definitely soggy( I was thinking maybe it was done before his calzone or something and was sitting there and maybe the juice from the pineapples made it soggy.. ) most places I’ve gotten pizza at are scorching hot, if not still warm even after 20+ minutes. I said “whatever it’s all I have, I’ll eat it.” It had potential to be good though, if it was cooked right. May I mind you the FRIED squash was good. My husband was in the other room eating, he came in the kitchen after he was “done” saying that food was awful . He said his calzone was soggy as hell, the meat was cold, they put way to much toppings in it… like whattt, I thought his would have been fresh because mine was bad. I’m guessing it was a TON of toppings because usually he is okay with that, especially considering what your paying for this type of food. Anyways $38 later, 2 upset stomachs, and soggy food. I figured I’d write a review because this was unacceptable. Hopefully they don’t continue to run their business this way because seeing other reviews with people saying about the same thing as what we experienced tonight and being in such a small town, they won’t stay open to much longer. I pray they’ll do better in the future(and that we don’t get sick tonight) because it’s the only “Italian” food in kershaw.

We ordered carry out, so can’t comment on the service. We ordered 2 large pizzas, chicken parm with a side caesar salad, chicken souvlaki with a side of fries, and a gyro.
Well, they were out of large pizza boxes so they only gave us medium pizzas. Caesar salad is supposed to be a side included in the price of a meal, but they charge $2 extra for a Greek salad. I ordered Caesar, they gave me Greek and charged me for it. The pizza was awful, tasted like a frozen pizza. My kids will normally eat a whole cheese pizza between the two of them, but they each only had one piece, my daughter didn’t even want to finish it.
We had eaten at Gus’ before and were happy with the food, but since it changed owners the quality has gone downhill. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was because the chicken was pretty good. It was seasoned well (in my opinion, husband thought it was over seasoned) and moist. But I just can’t get over how bad that pizza was!

Honestly, we most likely will not go back. I had high hopes for it. The food was not good, maybe in the future we will give the pizza a try. The hamburger steak came out with out gravy, and when mentioned we were told they just don’t put it on there. Could have easily been remedied with a side of gravy. I ordered the chicken parm, and the chicken wasn’t breaded, which was asked for .Spaghetti had no sauce just watery noodles. My son’s sub looked best out of everything. Service was OK.

Ordered a Chef salad. Got home open the box there was lettuce, meat and egg. I called to talk to the owner. The girl who took the message said he was busy and he will call me. Guess what, he didn’t call me back. It has been hit and miss with the new owners and I have actually gave them many chances. I will not return to get burned again. It is so disappointing because they are local. I will make the trip to Camden or Lancaster from now on.

Very unhappy with the service I received. I really looked forward to trying this place out as I’ve heard great things about the food. I travelled from Lancaster to visit which is roughly from my home a 30 minute drive. I ordered as well as tipped more than 20%, even with the less than ideal customer service. I was called and told that I left items there that weren’t packed with my order. I explained that I wasn’t aware, because I was told where to pick my items up at off of the counter, with not much further explanation after I had already paid. When I spoke to the waiter on the line I wasn’t asked any questions regarding if I would like to come back another day or even a mention of a refund. I explained that I lived about 30 minutes away to which the waiter replied, ok and so do I. An experience I looked forward to became an experience I don’t wish to EVER have again. I won’t be spending my money in this establishment again.

Usually we aren’t the people to complain but, the wings came out first, they were disgusting and literally raw. We sent them back and asked them to take them off the ticket. Which our server did with no issues.
Our pizza came out a couple minutes later, soaked in grease. Our toppings slid right off the “crust”.
Our server never came back to refill our drinks or to check to see if everything was okay after the pizza came out.
We didn’t send it back but we obviously didn’t eat anything, and our total was $30 for ONE pizza and two drinks. Crazy, will NOT be going back.

Very dirty, floors sticky, dishes were covered in grease. Needs better management. Food wasnt terrible but certainly wont eat here again.
