My husband and I had a fantastic meal at Kern River Ceviche Company. It is the best restaurant we’ve tried within a two-hour radius, and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was incredible—the restaurant has such a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately made us feel welcome.
The owner personally greeted us and took the time to explain the menu, which showed their passion for the food and dedication to providing excellent service. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience.
The food was simply delicious! We tried several dishes, and every single one exceeded our expectations. The Isabella ceviche was fresh and perfectly balanced, the flavorful and generous fajitas were delicious, and the surf and turf tacos were divine. The lobster tail tacos were a real highlight, and the sequoia harvest bowl was beautiful and satisfying.
Don’t miss their aguas frescas either – they’re the perfect complement to the meal and are made with care.
After trying several restaurants in the area, I can confidently say this is the best we’ve experienced. The incredible food, welcoming service, and beautiful atmosphere make Kern River Ceviche Company a fantastic choice. We’ll be back!

This place was a little haven after a week of camp food in Death Valley. Kern River Ceviche Company is literally the best placed I’ve ever stopped to eat at during a roadtrip. The fisherman’s ceviche was delicious, the spice was excellent, the seafood was fresh, the portion was large, and the people working were so friendly. We inhaled our food so quickly there wasn’t time to take any pictures. Would definitely stop here for a meal again!

OUTSTANDING!! my wife, and I had the harvest bowl with shrimp and one with halibut. Lots of fresh organic vegetables, rice, pumpkin seeds, a great cilantro, lime vinaigrette. Just very fresh and delicious. Probably one of the best bowls like that I’ve had in a long time.
Very friendly staff who obviously care about the high-quality food they’re preparing. Cute little small restaurant.
I would definitely recommend it for anybody traveling through who needs an alternative to the standard burger menu.

I love Kern River Ceviche Company so much! Our little town up here in Lake Isabella, Ca needed a place like this, the food is delicious, the service is great. Sometimes when they’re busy, it could slow down, but everything is fresh made to order. The atmosphere is happy and they make you feel like family.

Fresh and flavorful ceviche and other seafood. We got the Fishermans Ceviche, a shrimp burrito, one lobster and one Mahi Mahi taco and every single thing was impressive and tasted super fresh. We will be back, and implore you to stop and give this place a try if you are in the area.

There’s not one thing I would change. We are big ceviche lovers and this place truly delivered. Delicious Isabella ceviche (a current special) and tacos too – especially the surf and turf. Service was kind and quick. Place is cute and because we were the only ones there they even allowed us to bring our dog inside. What a gem!

This is truly the most amazing ceviche I have tried anywhere…. We were visiting the town coming from the off road from sequoia national forest , this is the most amazing place , the micheladas are truly also the best i have also tried . Coming from Los Angeles, we have all the foods and drinks , but this place surpasses all in LA . We will be back !! Thank you for the most amazing food and the most welcoming host .

Phenomenal ceviche and carne asada tacos. It took a while to get my food, but it’s all made fresh! Ceviche serving size is quite generous too. Highly recommend!! I only wished I lived in the area so I could eat here regularly!

Great food, great people the aqua chile, ceviche was amazing just enough spice and of course surf and turf tacos were amazing tasted fresh. Their homemade salsa was great not too spicy. Daughter almost finished a quesadilla which was pretty big and the guacamole and sour cream she loved.

The ceviche was incredibly fresh. I had the special ceviche and everything was perfect. The balance, the flavors, the colors. I did not expect to find good ceviche here but was pleasantly surprised. I also have to say the service was great. 10/10 would come back!
