My friend and I recently visited this Kerala restaurant in Norwich, and we absolutely loved it! The food was authentic, full of rich flavors, and reminded us of home. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Every dish we tried was delicious, from the spices to the presentation. Definitely one of the best places for Kerala cuisine in Norwich

I visited Keram Restaurant Norwich today to try some authentic Kerala food, and it was absolutely amazing! The dishes tasted just like home – full of authentic flavors and very comforting. The presentation was beautiful and everything was served fresh and hot.

A special mention to Mr. Bibble, who was extremely professional, polite, and well-behaved. His friendly service made the experience even better.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious Kerala food and a warm, homely atmosphere!

Went on a friday night for a catch up with friends and some food. We picked Keram had the smell is always delicious from outside and wow, it did not disappoint! The dishes were aromatic, large and very satisfying! We had starters which were big (definitely could have shared), so could not finish the main despite it being delicious, however, we were able to take leftovers with us so a tasty breakfast too! Something a little bit different and great service, definitely worth a visit.

Came to Keram as was craving something Keralian. Keram has always delivery excellantly. However, this trip to Keram was disappointing. Over the food was alright but not the usual amazing which it had been consistently before. Service was good as always!

Fab find on Norwich’s ‘curry mile’ – Magdalen St.

My first visit to Keram and the food was very tasty. Being South Indian the varied dishes and flavours were a welcome change to the usual Indian restaurant staples.

I had Koonthal Fry to start followed by the Prawn Mango Curry and Coconut Rice – all delicious, different and interesting…… and the atmoshphere music was great too! 🙂

This place was genuinely fantastic before the refurbishment. Something has clearly changed since then, assume either a new chef, new management, or both and not for the better.

Our first visit (pre-refurb) was really good, which is why we came back….Big mistake. On our second visit the restaurant was almost empty, only six people in total including us and yet the service was still shocking. We ordered drinks and they simply never arrived.

The food was worse. The lamb wasn’t cooked properly, tough and tasteless, and the biryani was embarrassing: bland rice with some sauce slapped on, zero depth, zero effort. It tasted like an Aldi microwave biriyani, not a restaurant made dish.

Refurbishing the place is pointless if the fundamentals have fallen apart. Right now this feels like a completely different (and much worse) restaurant riding on its old reputation.

I’d like to come back as this restaurant does offer authentic food compared to all the other fake ‘Indian’ restaurants on that road and Norfolk generally.

It’s rare to find a proper authentic Indian restaurant in Norwich, so I hope they do better.

Ate here for the first time tonight. The food was delicious – well flavoured and with a real kick of heat. The waiter was really helpful in describing the dishes (the menu lacks a little detail but you can find this on their online menu if needed) and the spices involved, the service overal was excellent – friendly, polite and not over the top.
It’s always nice to find something more authentic and different to the numerous “curry house” style restaurants, it was definitely worth a visit and we will back to try the rest of the menu!

This is a place where exception to the rule works.. Normally ‘if it is busy it must be good’ applies.. Here it wasn’t busy but it was great. Food is not your standard Indian cuisine, but the better for it. The waiter guided us through the menu and made very good recommendations. Tasty, well cooked and good sized portions.. One rice between two is ample.
I am made a note of this restaurant and will go back..

The masala dosa was not what I was expecting it wasn’t very crispy although the sambal and accompanying sides were tasty. The chicken biryani was good, it came with a boiled egg and 2 big pieces of chicken, the onion baji was a bit oily for my liking , overall the price for the dishes were very reasonable.

We went on Valentine’s Evening- food was excellent and authentic. The onion bahjis were the best I have tasted – fish curry was excellent and the vegetarian options were good / most of the dishes are gluten free and the waiter was knowledgeable about all ingredients. It is the second time we have been and both good experiences.
