A special mention to Mr. Bibble, who was extremely professional, polite, and well-behaved. His friendly service made the experience even better.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious Kerala food and a warm, homely atmosphere!
My first visit to Keram and the food was very tasty. Being South Indian the varied dishes and flavours were a welcome change to the usual Indian restaurant staples.
I had Koonthal Fry to start followed by the Prawn Mango Curry and Coconut Rice – all delicious, different and interesting…… and the atmoshphere music was great too! 🙂
Our first visit (pre-refurb) was really good, which is why we came back….Big mistake. On our second visit the restaurant was almost empty, only six people in total including us and yet the service was still shocking. We ordered drinks and they simply never arrived.
The food was worse. The lamb wasn’t cooked properly, tough and tasteless, and the biryani was embarrassing: bland rice with some sauce slapped on, zero depth, zero effort. It tasted like an Aldi microwave biriyani, not a restaurant made dish.
Refurbishing the place is pointless if the fundamentals have fallen apart. Right now this feels like a completely different (and much worse) restaurant riding on its old reputation.
I’d like to come back as this restaurant does offer authentic food compared to all the other fake ‘Indian’ restaurants on that road and Norfolk generally.
It’s rare to find a proper authentic Indian restaurant in Norwich, so I hope they do better.
It’s always nice to find something more authentic and different to the numerous “curry house” style restaurants, it was definitely worth a visit and we will back to try the rest of the menu!
I am made a note of this restaurant and will go back..
