Straightforward Indian restaurant prepping curries, seafood, meat dishes, dosas & biryani.

It has been at least 6-7 years since we visited this restaurant. Today we had a craving for Kerala style beef, porotta, and kappa and decided to go. The interior has been renovated and looked better that before. It was a good idea to reserve a table as the place got full by 7.30-8pm on a Saturday. Chicken 65 was a good starter. Beef ularthu, kappa, porotta, and chicken pepper masala did not disappoint. Medium spice level was sufficiently hot even for us who are used to Kerala cuisine. House wine and ice cream was nothing extraordinary. Service was reasonable, though in comparison to some other Indian restaurants, has some room for improvement. In summary, if you crave some authentic Kerala cuisine you won’t be disappointed.

A Taste of Home – I was skeptical to try any Kerala restaurants after my experience with ones near Toronto. But turned out Kerala Kitchen is truly a gem! this place exceeded every expectation. Every single dish we ordered was absolutely authentic, bursting with rich flavors that instantly transported me back to Kerala.
What made it even more special? My non-Keralite family loved it just as much! They couldn’t stop raving about how delicious and unique each dish was. From the spices to the freshness, it was perfection.
The ambience is warm and beautifully set up with traditional touches, and the Malayalam music in the background made the experience even more nostalgic—like a mini trip back home.
Whether you’re from Kerala or just someone who loves incredible food, this is a must-visit spot. Kerala Kitchen has definitely become my new favorite, and I can’t wait to go back!

After a long time we decided to check this place out again. It has certainly improved overall. The Briyani was very good. The fish fry was ok and the egg curry was good too, however it was thick; I suspect they added flour to thicken it. Service has significantly improved since our last time.

We have been here several times, and the food and service have been top notch every time. This time we ordered chicken Chettinad, Kerala style chicken curry, Kerala parotta, omelette, chicken kotthu parotta and chicken fried rice, which was for take away. We have tried chicken kotthu parotta in past too but this time the taste was different than usual. Also the chicken fried rice was a let down as the chicken in it felt just boiled and lacked masala. All other dishes were simply wonderful and tasty. Highly recommended south Indian restaurant.

Had a fantastic lunch at Kerala Kitchen. Came in for the buffet special and was delighted to see the spread of familiar dishes. Appams were soft and sweet. The quintessential parotta and beef curry was perfect. I was surprised to see the Syrian Christian style Beef Stew; creamy and slightly sweet with the perfectly tender beef and marrow. Only complaint was I ate too much too quick.

Nice spot that serves authentic cuisine from Kerala, South India. Have been going to this spot for the last two years. The service is nice, there’s ample parking as well.
The taste and quality has been a bit inconsistent during our last couple of weeks. This was particularly evident for Parotta, Appam and Chicken Roast. I hope things get better.

We randomly decided to try this Indian restaurant for a quick lunch, and now I can’t stop thinking about the flavors—I already want to go back! It was a busy holiday season, with large families and business groups filling the place, but we got lucky and snagged what looked like the last table.
Our server was super sweet and friendly. Even though she was running around nonstop with every table full, she made sure we were taken care of. The food came out pretty quickly, which was a nice surprise.
As someone who loves authentic Indian food but doesn’t think it’s all about butter chicken, I was blown away. The dishes were amazing, and I’m already excited to come back and try more Kerala specialties I haven’t had before. Definitely worth a visit!

Good service, decent food, nice place. Me and my wife travelled to Vancouver from Toronto and on our third day we missed some Kerala food and went to this place. They sure did meet the expectation. To be honest, if you compare it to Kerala restaurants in Toronto, this one would be on par with the top 5. I never said the Toronto ones are great, but satisfactory.
We ordered one Biryani and asked to make it mild, and they sure did make it mild. The Biryani was different in style, new flavors for me, but it was enjoyable. We asked for pappadam, which we had to purchase, and I wouldn’t do that again. It was not Kerala pappadam.
We also ordered Indian chai, which was good too.
The service was really good.
It’s a nice place to dine in and the food is good, Do take a look at the menu and pricing before you decide. One Biryani, 2 Chai and Pappadam was $29.49

Oh yeah finally I found a delicious Indian food around. The dry beef was great and the chicken curry was spicy
The dessert was the best part specifically the mango coconut cake
The service was great. The staff were all friendly but the atmospheric could be a little bit better.
Overall I recommend and for sure I’ll go again soon.
