Atmosphere: Nice, warm and contemporary. ( We were seated close to a door that leads outside. Employees kept leaving it open. Cold air kept coming in. Wished they’d close it. I had to)
Food: Brussel sprouts, sliders, tomato soup, classic burger were nice. That’s were it stops being good.
The mac and cheese, the brisket and beans (dry/tasteless!) were cold!
Sad to say, not returning.
I was pleasantly surprised with the staff. From start to finish, the service was exceptional and friendly at all times.
We started with the brusselsprouts, which were delicious, I’m generally not a fan of pecans, but these were a nice added touch to the sprouts.
The burger and fries were definitely amazing, I definitely got the burger i was craving, and it was cooked perfectly, juicey, and lots of flavor.
My partner got the avocado BLT and stated that she enjoyed every bite. It was our first dine-in dinner experience while visiting ( we’er from Canada, eh ), and we were ecstatic. we stumbled across this place.
I wish I had more time in California, so I could’ve eaten here again and tried the many different items their menu had.
Kenwood’s Kitchen & Tap is a neighborhood favorite!
Bubba and Ryan gave the best service and also had great recommendations and conversation while enjoying my time at kenwoods.
Thank you!
To our surprise, when we arrived, the staff informed us that the restaurant was closing early—about 2 hours before the listed time—and they refused to serve us food. The manager on duty apologized and said they were closing because it was “slow,” but that’s not an acceptable reason to turn away customers who made plans based on your stated hours.
All of my guests had driven quite a distance expecting a nice evening, and I felt terrible because I organized it. This was a very disappointing experience and a sign of poor management. If a restaurant advertises certain hours, customers should be able to rely on them.
