This place was packed and now we know why. Trucks were lined up on the side of the road to order. Favorites were the potato salad, bologna sandwich, ribs, and smoked chicken. We stopped here on the way home from Reelfoot Lake. There was a pretty long line so I knew it was going to be good. I had the brisket, pulled pork, and 2 small sides (beans and slaw). Portions were good for the money and the food was very good. I would recommend adding a sampler plate or 3 meat plate etc to the menu. Otherwise it was excellent.

Made a detour to have lunch here and it was so worth it. The Brisket sandwich and some potato salad. Oh my gosh. This sandwich is so good can stand not to have sauce on it. A very big sandwich served here in a time when others have gone smaller. Very very glad we came here. Sure hope to return. Fast word to July 24 and the opportunity to stop by and enjoy this wonderful place. Had the loin sandwich and a brisket sandwich and my gosh I think the loin sandwich is the hidden gem of the menu. A year later and just as nice and just as good! Thank you!

Stopped here for a late lunch and was blown away by the quality of the BBQ and whole experience. Classic rusticated roadside shack BBQ joint. Seating is limited to one covered outdoor picnic table. Ordered loin sandwich and side of beans which was excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Not fancy but if you are looking for classic old school BBQ joint this place is great.

We needed a quick stop but wanted to try the local flavor. This was a great option. There are many delicious BBQ options as well as tasty home style sides that are served up quickly. There are a few picnic tables outside but many folks were doing a pick up to carry out. The service is friendly. It was fun chatting with other travelers waiting in line to order. Note: Cash only. The Marathon just up the road has an ATM.

Best BBQ I have had in a long time. Juicy without the bbq sauce, the latter of which was a unique vinegar red. Ribs fell apart with a plastic fork.
Cash only, with reasonable prices. Outside seating only.
