The Catfish, Hush Puppies and Cole Slaw were all outstanding. It was pretty busy when we arrived for dinner. It took about 25 minutes for our food to be delivered. No appetizers to keep us occupied while we waited. Our order was taken promptly and our drinks delivered quickly. Just wish our fish was delivered as quickly.
The parking lot leaves a lot to be desired. Not paved. Pot holes. It was a rainy night and quite a muddy mess coming and going.
The prices were very reasonable. Can’t be beat!
All in all, a good experience. We will return, again, but get a snack ahead of time before we arrive.

I’ve never been here until tonight. I’ve always heard good things about this place, so I thought I would have to try it myself. I was not disappointed! Everything was as delicious as everyone talked about. The hostess was extremely friendly (her and I have been friends since high school)
Food was served hot and fresh and priced reasonable. Everyone knows seafood is very expensive. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and I will definitely be back.

Excellent food. Quick, friendly service. Hostess, waitress and server were the best. Food was served nicely done and hot. We started out with very tasty hush puppies while we were waiting. The food was served even before we were finished with them! Grilled fish and shrimp combo with tasty coleslaw. Fried catfish with perfectly baked potato and crispy fried okra. Grilled catfish with really good collard greens- they had smoked sausage and just the right amount of tangy vinegar. We topped it off with homemade peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream.

This was our first time to try Kent’s Catfish. We loved it and thought it was some of the best catfish we’ve had in Mississippi. The fish was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. The sides and hush puppies were hot and tasted great. They had a full house but they got us in quickly and the waitress was great. We will definitely be back for more of the catfish and we recommend you try them if you haven’t.

The food looked good but had no seasoning at all. The potato salad looked and tasted like mashed potatoes. The bake beans were just porn n beans with a lot of brown sugar and uncooked sausage. The fish was beautiful in color and looked like it would taste delicious; however, looks can be misleading because it had no flavor at all. The best thing on the plate were the hushpuppies. The needed corn in them but they were ok. The server was extremely nice and attentive. She did notice I failed to eat my food and asked if I wanted a carry out 20 minutes before we were ready to go. The restaurant itself was nice and clean minus the rude little girl who addressed me on my way out the door.

Kent’s is one of the better old-school style fish houses in Northeast Mississippi. They know how to fry fish. They use a slightly heavier fry mix, but it isn’t too heavy and I find it enjoyable. They are also quite friendly and accommodating. We’ve had a couple of larger family gatherings in their banquet room and they treat you right. If you’re looking to dine on catfish in the authentic Mississippi style, Kent’s is a good, solid choice.
