Ken’s Club has a great vibe. The place looks newly remodeled. We ordered the prime rib and filet. The meat was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Delicious!
The sides were ok, nothing special—I’ve had creamier and better tasting garlic mashed potatoes. You don’t get a side salad or rolls before your meal. We’d definitely go again, but not often, because it is on the pricier side of things for the amount of food you get, coke was $3.50, filet was $39 and prime rib was $33.

I can’t say enough about how good the food is here since the new owners reopened this Mackay staple. Everything I’ve ordered from Steakhouse Nachos (the bomb!!) to Fish Tacos to Poutine to steaks and sides have all been amazing. And the chef has helped with off menu requests. Very much enjoy my interactions with owners and staff. Looking forward to seeing the full dining room open soon and enjoying live music and great food in their outdoor area as weather improves. Most definitely my favorite food in the Lost River Valley.

What happened to this place? This used to be my go to. Food very mediocre. Prime rib was mostly fat. I understand fat on a cut but this was ridiculous. Service was, well I guess was there. Don’t count on price on menu matching what your ticket comes out to be.

I have to show love to this restaurant! It was Saturday night and one of the only restaurants open in this small town, so of course it’s busy and you need to be EXTRA PATIENT and just enjoy yourself and your company while you wait (which was only like 25 minutes for us). Anyway, this place made the BEST BLT I’ve ever had. It’s melt in your mouth pork belly, fresh heirloom tomatoes, lettuce, aioli, golden brown bread…just a perfect chefs kiss. It was like smoked soul food. Also, my husband loved his burger with prime rib slices on top. They sure know how to do their meats! And our bar drinks were made deliciously. We aren’t locals and we’ve lived in big cities. So believe me when I say, we really felt happy with the food, service and decor. The staff seems to work really hard and seem like good people – they deserve respect! We highly recommend this restaurant.

I will say this. We waited 2 hours. The owner did not come out and talk to us. We did wait for the food and it was a party of 11. We all wanted to be unhappy because of the delay but the food but it was delicious. We could not complain about the food. The Onion rings the stakes. Everything was right on. We were pleasantly surprised. As I said we wanted to complain about food too but the food was amazing.

Ordered the Prime Rib Burger. It was delicious. I would go back again just for the burger. The waitress was friendly and a hard worker. She could use a bit more support though as there were gaps in time we could have used a refill of our drinks but didn’t happen until food was delivered. It was a busy Friday evening so can’t fault the waitress. Prices were stretching it a bit but all right.

Had reservations for Saturday night and when we got there at 6 they were out of pretty much everything. I went to use the restroom and just walked out because it was so dirty in there. Felt like I was in an old abandoned barn. Took us about 30 min to order because our waitress kept coming back to the table to tell us they were out of things. Just overall not a pleasant experience. Drinks were alright, it’s what you can expect from a dive bar type place. The manager or owner Anna has no idea how to run a restaurant and embarrassed herself by coming to the table to rudely apologize for our poor experience. She was more worried about the cowboys at the bar. We drive through Mackay all the time but we will never waste our time again here!
