My fiancé have never been here and he loves the corn beef sandwich is a great sandwich but worth the price! Staff and atmosphere was great ! The cakes are big and huge that can feed 4-5 people off of a single slice in my opinion! The black cherry soda was good and caffeine free! As always my fiancée loved it and we WILLLLLL be back !

I absolutely love Kenny & Ziggy’s! We’ve been going here for years. The menu is literally huge. They have all day breakfast, tons of sandwiches, burgers, and some fantastic entrées. The desserts are incomparable to other places. The famous torte, which is half chocolate mousse and half cheesecake on an oreo like crust is my absolute favorite!

This place was exceptional in many respects. The food, and range of items, was above the norm. The service was one of the best I’ve experienced. Everything was exceptionally clean, to a level you won’t see often. Prices were pretty high in general, $20+ for sandwiches, but the sandwiches. A feed a family of three, maybe four. We ordered a cup of chicken soup, which was the low point of our lunch, insipid and lackluster in every respect. But the Reuben sandwich was excellent and huge. The star of the show was the cheesecake with chocolate mouse; it was amazing and also than its safe to eat in a sitting. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and funny. This is one of those places that I’ll recommend to everyone I come across.

One of the best deli experiences that I’ve had in many years. Wow.
This is an incredibly well run deli operation that has made no compromises in the quality of both the incredible food and the experience. Some may complain about the prices which I’ve seen on some of the other reviews. Folks – good well prepared (top ingredients) food is not cheap, and cheap food is often not good.
As soon as you walk in the restaurant, you are literally overwhelmed by the fun deli/diner decor. The colors are vibrant, everything is spot on clean, with a beautiful Deli counter filled with yummy baked goods that looks a mile long. The space big but warm – with lots of light.
First time here and I ordered the scrambled eggs and onions for breakfast. The eggs were perfectly cooked and not overcooked, and the onions were super well done & tasty. The home fries were well seasoned & delicious! The rye toast was spot on.
Yes, the menu is huge, but I didn’t even look at it it to be honest because I have my favorites and as far as I’m concerned, a good deli should be able to make the basics exceedingly well. Kenny and Ziggy’s did not disappoint.
I asked the waitress if they had fresh squeezed orange juice? “ We only have fresh squeezed orange juice,” she replied. Well, you know how some restaurants claim they have fresh squeezed orange juice when it’s really from a bottle? Not at Kenny and Ziggy’s. This is the real stuff – Fresh squeezed and absolutely delicious.
I also ordered a pastrami sandwich to take with me on my flight back to Phoenix. We don’t have even a single authentic Jewish style deli in Phoenix and so I was excited to try it later in the day after getting home. Yes, it’s not the ideal way to enjoy a pastrami sandwich, but I didn’t really care. Well, let me tell you that this was one of the best pastrami sandwiches that I’ve had in many years! I heated it up just a little bit, and the rye bread was pillow soft and very tasty.
The meat was absolutely phenomenal!! As good or better as any deli like Katz’s In New York City or Brent’s In the San Fernando Valley.
The piled high meat was fork tender with the ideal amount of spicy seasoning (!!!) and the ideal amount of a bissel of fat. I would give this pastrami sandwich 10 stars out of five.
Who knew you could get this level of deli nirvana in the middle of Houston, Texas?
Unbelievable & heavenly Jewish soul food! By the way, the potato salad was excellent with just a hint of sweetness and some pickle. The only thing missing was a can of Dr Browns cream soda which I forgot to order.
Before leaving the restaurant & heading to the airport, I met Ziggy (the big macher himself) briefly. It was obvious that this is a man who keeps a watchful and obsessive eye on every teeny detail(with his oversized glasses) on the entire restaurant – and takes massive pride in both the delicious home style food + creating an authentic NYC delicatessen experience. There is a friendliness and warmth here. This man Is a walking mitzvah because he’s put so much passion into this place. You always know a great restaurant when the owner is paying close attention, and that’s exactly what’s happening at Kenny and Ziggy‘s. This is easily got to be one of the best Delicatessen in the entire USA. The food is not just good here; It’s incredible and the place is iconic.
I will go out of my way to order their delicious food Online from Phoenix using gold belly… because sometimes I’m home sick and I just need this kind of comfort food once in a while.

Came here for the first time and liked it so much I came back the next day to try the rest of the menus. The portions are HUGE. Plan on sharing or having some to go. Everything thus far was Very flavorful. My Very Picky wife approves. The dessert menus is massive as well. Service is 12 out of 10. They are very quick with the food even though it was packed.

We ordered the pastrami, turkey, and Swiss cheese sandwich… simply fantastic. We had it with coleslaw and French fries. For dessert, we ordered the Oh My God cheesecake… Our host, Mr. Alfredo, served us in an extremely friendly manner and always with a smile.

This was our first time eating at Kenny & Ziggy’s , but it will not be our last. The menu is huge, I mean it has to be, there is so much to choose from. My wife said it would take years to try everything on the menu, it’s almost overwhelming, so many options, but we settled on the smoked pastrami with French fries and it was delicious. Oh yeah we split it, there is easily enough meat for two and we washed it down with coconut cream pie, Mmm mmm. A little taste of the Big Apple, but without the traffic, “Hey we’re walking here!” Take your time and relax, enjoy your food.

The portions are quite large. I got their signature sandwich (the #1). I shared the hot spinach dip which comes with thin & crispy bagels plus sour cream. Also shared the beef stuffed fried dumplings. The Root Beer was delicious (as it always is everywhere). My sister got the Chicken in a Pot soup and it looked really good…I’m going to get it next time.

My husband and I were in Houston to see a football game. We decided to try Kenny & Ziggy’s. We had the crunchy cauliflower to start. It was tasty and had a sweet and sour type coating. I ordered schnitzel with mashed potatoes, noodles, and a side salad. I thought my food was good. It wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever eaten, but it was good. The chicken schnitzel had 2 pieces that were a decent size. The potatoes came with brown gravy. My husband had the fish and chips and he said it was very good. He said the fish had a nice crunch and the pieces were big. After dinner, we had dessert. Now, the dessert selection is extensive and everything looks good. We weren’t sure what to try, but we ended up getting the torte. It was amazing. It is cheesecake with a decadent, smooth chocolate mousse on top of it and a chocolate cookie crust. My husband and I agreed that it was delicious. I also had a vanilla latte with dessert. We will definitely visit again to try other items on their menu. They have lots of choices, but I am most excited to try a different dessert.
