This is a pretty good place for american food. It looked run down but we went in the staff were friendly and the food was good. My wife had the chicken and it was fresh and good. OMG the buscuits was awesome. I had a burger and curly fries both were really good. Dont let the outside scare you away

I’ve driven by Kenney’s a few times and thought it was closed. Thank God it’s Not!!! I’ve been jones-in’ for fried chicken and Google showed me Kenney’s. I got the 12 pc. meal with biscuits and mac n cheese and mashed that’s. The chicken is Pretty damn good. So are the biscuits. It’s a bummer that the sides are instant and microwavable. But they’re still good. The chicken is fantastic!!! Juicy and fresh. And the biscuits are small but really tasty. I bought the 12 pc ro share with my doggos. (I know but it’s a treat, let it go.) And they didn’t leave my side from the time I walked in the door til I made the a plate. They got the beasts. They thought it was great too! (I mean that as a compliment)
Anyway, if you’re in Lexington or nearby stop and get some chicken. It’s worth it.

If you’re just visiting and not a local, don’t judge the restaurant by its outside appearance. The food was excellent and the service was great! We heard that this was where the locals go to eat, and we are glad we listened. We tried the Double K and the Swiss burgers. Both were delicious. Will try the fried chicken next time.

the chicken was super tender, onion were good, and i think the hubs said they were called “honey rolls” (biscuit type roll which you put honey on, kind of a sweet roll) new to the area, never tried this spot, very good, hubs said atmosphere is from the 60’s. i’m from the late 70’s so i wouldn’t know the 60’s. lol. i would return to try other items.

Best Chicken anywhere in the area! Sauce burgers are to die for!!! Simple food, and don’t be in a rush. Best to call ahead and place your order. Great family, and you can work with Effie on catering. If you are in Lexington stop by for lunch or dinner! Again, don’t expect 5 minute service, everything cooked to order fresh!!!

This was my first time at Kenny’s. It was a great step back in time to a good old fashioned mom and pop type of operation. Nothing fancy, just good food and efficient service. The chicken was AMAZING Definitely need to come back the next time I’m in Lexington.

It’s one of those all time great places. The food is the focus and nobody really cares about the rest of it. Fits into the same category as places like The White House in Atlantic City NJ, Wright’s Dairy-Rite in Staunton VA. I’m sure part of the charm and allure is the memories. Today I had fresh hot fried chicken and those biscuits. When those biscuits are hot they are one of the top all time foods.

Like going back in time! Went to Kenny’s today on recommendation from my boss. It is delicious! The folks there are very friendly, customers too. From burgers to chicken, with all the fixins, they have it there. I even got a t-shirt. I’ll definitely be back, and soon.

Very much a Local Yokel type place. Of the 6 of us, we all had something different. Everyone enjoyed. Fried Chicken was really good. Chicken salad was enough for 2 sandwiches! Burger was good too! Would 100% come back for that chicken again and again!

This is old fashioned fried chicken at its best. It is not health food. If you are a ‘foodie’ go elsewhere. But if you want great old fashioned fried chicken made by in a place that the locals love, this is the place to go.
You can eat in, but the dining area is small and reminiscent of the 1970’s – never been updated. Take out is what most people do.
We love it and go back when we need something basic.
Go for the fried chicken (and not the burger).
Signage to the place is terrible. Drive on Business US 11, and turn at the Southern States gas station. Drive by Ace Hardware / Farmers Coop. Turn left and go up the fairly steep hill, past the used car place and Kenny’s will be on your right, at the end of this short street / driveway.
There is a small dining area, but most people elect to takeout.
