I bought the burger restaurant and reopened in January 2022. We try to provide a quality product made with with love. Everyone at Kennedy’s Pioneer Burger wants you to feel welcome and provide you with the best service possible. We are not perfect, but we strive to be as close as we can everyday. We now use Harris Ranch Angus/Chuck blend for all our burgers, because you deserve it.

They need to get one order out at a time. They made people wait till they had 3 or 4 orders done, which made our food (bun) soggy the chili dog didn’t keep together, fell apart. Plus they wouldn’t answer calls, one of them took the phone and put it under something so we did not hear it (loudly), we’ve been there when it was pioneer burger which also had a long wait time BUT it tasted great and was more fresh. Wasted $44 nobody could eat their food besides the onion rings!

One of our favorite places to eat. Fresh food and friendly service. The bread used for my favorite Steven’s Breakfast Sandwich and my better half’s favorite grilled cheese is homemade. Both sandwiches are better than we can make at home, due to the bread. Everyone I know that has eaten the hamburger raves about it, and seeing it, you know they don’t skimp on toppings. The fresh-cut fries are amazing as well.

If you’re driving through Pioneer, this is a great place to stop for a bite. I had a mushroom grilled cheese with fresh cut french fries that was hot and delicious. All the food is made to order. Small family run burger joint that has really excellent food. Some indoor seating and they do have a patio for outdoor seating, when the weather’s nice. Prices are not cheap but are reasonable. The portions are big. They have a pretty big menu with hot dogs and hamburgers with unique/delicious toppings. They also have shakes and sweet treats. I really enjoyed my lunch there. I will be back.

Way too slow of service. There is a help wanted sign which could help to point that once this place is properly staffed, the service speed will improve. Waited nearly 30 minutes for two burgers and one fry…

Man this burger was good. My only complaint would be the wait time. They’re understaffed so it’s a little long. 15 minutes for a couple milk shakes is a little excessive. 25 for a burger. They were taking applications though. So hopefully they can start turning them faster

Such a great roadside stop!! We both had the Jalapeno burger – best burger we’ve had in a long long time! The jalapenos were flavorful and fresh, just spicy enough to satisfy our spice cravings. The caramel shake was amazing! So creamy, and a perfect compliment to the jalapeno burger.
We came in hungry, and our food was out incredibly quickly. Fantastic job!

The hamburgers are full of flavor and filling. However, if the main owner and operator is not present, the service and attention to detail falters. Both the order ahead of mine, as well as my own, had to be returned and remade. Once the burger was made correctly, it was excellent. While my partner was able to eat ar the resturant, I ate mine in the car. I advise not to try eating the burgers on the go as they are greasy and can be messy in the car.

Without exaggeration, one of the two or three best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. I got the 1/2 pound cheese burger with fries, and I don’t know exactly what magic they do in that little kitchen back there, but the massive, flavorful and astonishing burger I got will never be forgotten. How can something with just a handful of components come out so much better-tasting than any other burger I’ve ever had? I dont know, but next time i go winetasting in Amador County, ill be back here again!!
