My heart is so full since they reopened indoor dining! The landscape of the restaurant had changed and think it’s for the better. The landscape gives a more intimate experience – I like how you have your own “cubby” with whom you’re dining with. However, the dining area is smaller than the past. To our luck, we were able to sit upon entering for a late lunch.

Kenkos was my favorite sushi spot pre covid and still is after especially after reopening dine in. The wait for seats can be lengthy but worth it. If you are in the area, check it out. If you visited pre covid, note that the ice cream fish dessert have been replaced with shaved ice these days.

Okay, I hate to write this review but I just have to. I remember coming here years ago and the sushi was absolutely delicious. I just dined here again and same as last time from when I was recently here. The sushi is not good. It has no flavor and I think some of it is premade as I got my sushi in like literally 30 seconds. What a shame. There are better places that have better sushi unfortunately for them.

I’ve been trying out the best sushi places in NJ recently and saw this was noted as one of the best, so you know I had to try it! It is rated the best for a reason! And as such, the wait to get seated is proportional to how great it is. They don’t take reservations and the wait for us was 45 minutes to an hour. They take your number down and call you when you’re ready so you can go do whatever. That being said, WORTH THE WAIT! Their prices are relatively cheap and extremely affordable. The chirashi was amazing and the sushi was equally as great! All the fish is fresh and the taste of everything was absolutely delicious. They have extremely attentive waiters and provided a few things on the house! They know that customer satisfaction matters and boy is it recognized. Absolutely love this place and would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Took my family here and they loved it as well! 11/10 will be coming again!

My husband and I were regulars here pre Covid and have tried this sushi time and time again to give it just 1 more chance since. The fish, sushi rice, & presentation were all top notch. The quality of tonight’s fish and rice were of gas station store quality. $75 of sushi and with 6 soy sauce packets. Mushy rice, uncut cucumbers in my roll, all tempura was soggy even when picked up 6:55pm for our 7pm time frame- obviously had been sitting out for who knows how long. This will definitely be our last time ordering takeout from Kenko. It 100% is not the same quality as it used to be. We’re sad to see this place go down hill- all the crunch and piled on sauces isn’t going to mask quality for us.

Wow what can I say?! This place is absolutely amazing. Love the Japanese infusion rolls never had anything like them. Immaculate clean, beautiful presentations and packaging. This is the second time we ordered takeout the first time we forgot to take pics! This is definitely our new go to place!
