Hadn’t planned on coming here today, but bad weather and hungry stomachs changed our plans.
The staff was nice and helpful, and the kitchen was getting the food out fast!
My wife got the beef street taco, I got 2 tuna. She liked hers a lot. I loved mine. Mine were basically poke tacos in wonton taco shells. So good!
The cucumbers reminded me of the pickles Dukes puts on some of Thierry appetizers. Really tasty.
My burger is kind of a bbq burger with cheddar cheese and a slaw. Really good flavor. Enjoyed it.
The truffle burger i thought tasted good. My wife didn’t like it as much as I did as she thought it had to much sauce. I disagreed- but some reading this may agree with her.
Overall really good. Not the greatest ever, but really good and should be a go to on Kauai.

Night Owl
This place was so great we ate here twice during our recent visit to Kauai. The truffle burger was amazing as well as the hapa burger. Our favorite item was their furitake fries, however. We couldn’t get enough of them! All the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was amazing, as it is all a covered outdoor patio with ferns growing up the sidewall. The local kitties came to visit us and were very sweet.

Wow! Been to Kauai several times now and just tried this place for the first time and I was very impressed! Wife got the Truffle burger and I got the ahi tuna burger. Shared an order of furikake fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and filling! Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely make this a stop on our next trip.

Visited Kenji Burger and tried the furikake fries, loco moco, and a burger.
The furikake fries were very salty–the large salt flakes overwhelmed the fries and didn’t pair well with the sauce, so the fry flavor got lost.
Both the loco moco and the burger could use a bit more seasoning in the meat. The sauce was very dominant and tended to mask the flavors of the entrées, making it difficult to taste the beef.
I think these would really shine with a lighter hand on the salt for the fries, a bit more seasoning in the patties/ground beef, and either less sauce or a sauce with a milder profile so the meat can come through.

Really enjoyed the misoyaki fish bowl. Really flavorful and buttery fish. Burger was somewhat small and the patty was overwhelmed by the sweet sauce and cheese. Really beautiful semi-outdoor space. Good for groups.

We enjoyed the food. Poke Bowl, Rainbow Burrito is a fun & tasty idea, coconut shrimp and fries were also just right. Outdoor and „indoor“ seating were clean and there was always a nice breeze. Restrooms were ok but could be cleaner. Service was attentive and friendly though not the fastest – we did not mind.

Ordered truffle burger and Hapa burger with regular and furikake fries. Both burgers were cold and fries were under cooked, actually white in color. So disappointed in this meal, it just sucked plain and simple but the server was attentive and friendly.

I ordered a Kenji burger from here while visiting the island. It is a chain on the island. The burger was basically a teriyaki chicken sandwich. I found the taste was decent, nothing too special for a 14$ burger. The other items on the menu may be more better. They have dining available so good place to sit and have a quiet dinner.
