Had an amazing time last weekend for my birthday dinner. Everything was on point, especially the Toro Toro Toro roll. Can’t wait for next time!

Our experience at Kenichi was top notch from start to finish! Everyone was so kind, and the food was exceptional! Our server, Zach, made the experience feel like we were right at home and went above and beyond throughout our entire meal. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this spot to anyone visiting aspen!

Great food and good service!

The crispy tofu was surprisingly good! Well-seasoned and great texture. Definitely the highlight of the meal since it has a very unique taste that I have not had before in other Japanese restaurants.

Scallop was tender. The mushrooms and the vegetables underneath the scallops were yummy. The Godzilla roll was good. The strawberry on top was actually a good addition to the roll – a little bit of sourness makes it tastes lighter.

The shrimp was a little heavy: both the coating and the sauce. But still good.

Overall I enjoyed the quality of the food I tried here.

Servers were too busy, was always looking for a server the whole night. Foods come in small quantities (consider the price) but taste okay. Salmon was not so good in quality.

Nice low lit spot for a date night in Aspen! This was one of the only spots open the week before memorial weekend, but we enjoyed our sushi. Good fish, good menu, decent drinks, and great service. Fish was fresh. We loved the special yellowtail shashimi and the salmon and eel rolls. Yummy. Was over $200 and we didn’t even get more than 3 drinks but typical for aspen.

We really enjoyed a lovely dinner for 4 at Kenichi Aspen last evening. They have a nice assortment of cocktails and a great selection of saki, plus imported beers. We shared 3 sushi rolls (green tail roll, Blake roll, and Tora Tora Tora roll, a nightly special) and three Entrees (Miso black cod, lobster tacos, and spicy tuna on crispy rice cakes, my favorite). Every item was delicious, and the kitchen thoughtfully adjusted the portions, so each of us got to try everything. Our server,Jue, was a delight and took good care of us throughout the evening. It was just the right amount of food for 4.

Michelin star quality food, although lacking when it comes to service. Made a same day reservation and was promptly seated at a 2 top. I’m a bit larger and found the seat very tight. The hostess took my jacket however never provided a coat check tag – and never brought me my jacket back upon paying the bill even though I asked for it (I had to go to the front to get it myself). Upon ordering, our server lost our order several times and piecemeal (guesswork?) delivered us our meals, with no proper order. There should be a sequence of when these dishes come out but they were delivered all at once and missing an order of scallops which came 20 minutes after we finished our dinner. Drinks took a long time to come out. Drinks were decent but too small, I expected a little more. The server offered a dessert on the house which was delicious. But overall service was lacking and checking in on us randomly, there were plenty of staff working and the restaurant at minimum capacity so I don’t understand why the poor service. Other tables were also very loud, almost like being at a bar, this is not a romantic night out.

The Chef here was able to select quality products that frankly were hands down better than what we had in Tokyo. The portions were extremely conservative and it was expensive. Service needs to be spot on for these prices. Needs some improvement, recommended to try but I wouldn’t return. It really felt like pulling teeth trying to get our drinks and food, and then again for the bill.

We had a blast on my friends’ birthday party . Juicy was our server and she was amazing . The staffs were very accomodating and attentive . They made sure that we had all the things we needed.

The food was delicious and so are the cocktails. They have great selections of Sakes( a must try pairing with your food) . We stayed at their private dininig area and it was just the right space since there were 14 people.

Definitely reccommend this spots esp. for family style dining.

P.S : If you are staying in Snowmass area, they also have one restaurant there.

So disappointed. Took my girlfriend here for a special date. Took them nearly twenty minutes to even notice us and take our order, and I still had to flag them down for it. Pushy staff trying to upsell us the entire night, then rudely kick us out with a “you don’t have any more food coming so do you want something or not?” At the end. I know we’re not the big spenders you cater to at only $140 but jeese Kenichis, do better. If I’m paying $8 for a bowl of plain rice I expect to be treated with some respect.

It was great sushi but not the best. Tasted like rice wasn’t the best quality which affected the meal but overall still a great night out. The atmosphere in there was great
