My son and I visited and really enjoyed our experience. It is very well decorated inside and out and the servers were very friendly and helpful. They even went and grabbed their new chopstick attachment and attached it to my son’s chopsticks to make it easier for him to use them. We both thought the food we ordered was fantastic and it came out quickly. The spiciness of the ramen I ordered is precisely what I was hoping for. I like that they offer regular American drinks as well as Japanese sodas and beers. I will definitely come back again, however I wish they were celiac friendly so that my wife could enjoy the food as well.

This place is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is calm, cozy, and comfortable, perfect if you want to enjoy your meal in peace. The ramen and appetizers are very delicious, with plenty of signature options to choose from. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the service is warm and attentive. You can really feel that the owner puts a lot of heart and care into running this restaurant. Highly recommended!

The place is nicely themed and the seating is open. We were greeted quickly and seated. The large table in the middle of the seating area looked inviting but we were only a party of 4 so we didn’t need it. Worthy of note should family come in town. Our waiter Chris was very attentive and helpful. Our cups never ran empty for more than a second before we had a refill which I thoroughly enjoyed. In fact, Chris should get 6/5 stars for being the best waiter I have had in a very long time. The food was flavorful, tasty, and plentiful. We each had something different and all enjoyed the food. The music was present but didn’t overwhelm our conversation. I appreciated the quieter atmosphere vs some restaurants in town which seem to think I came to listen to their Spotify playlists. I would highly recommend this place for an evening out.

Each time I eat at Ken’s we have a great time, amazing food and fantastic service. I would definitely recommend 10 out of 10! My favorite off the menu is #32 add mixed veggies. Also I usually have 3 people with me so $70 bucks is a great deal to me.

I had the grilled salmon ramen that was so mouth watering and delicious. My husband had the Japanese curry and loved it as well!

Food were great! My kids loved the ramen noodles drinking the very last drop of soup. The chef ended giving us ice cream because of my kids. Definitely will be back to eat there again

We visited “KEN CHAN RAMEN” for a late evening dinner. We were promptly seated and had our orders taken. The food was delivered promptly and was hot and delicious. The portions were nice and large. Plenty large for a complete meal. I look forward to seeing you there.

Tried this place on a whim. Great decor, simple and refined. Service was great, very personable and friendly. Menu has several options for Ramen and rice plates. Bowls are plentiful and absolutely delicious!! Had an appetizer of goyza and loved them – crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with a flavor dipping sauce. Definitely a new place on out to go list!

Edit** we have gone back twice since this original review two almost three weeks ago. The food was wonderful and the flavor lived up to expectations. However, we had friends we finally convinced to try Ken Chan and they said they would not be back because of the same server problem we had. John is quite literally going to run away customers. His jokes when he gets your food wrong are not funny and maybe he shouldn’t try to memorize your order and should write it down if he can’t get it right. He’s been the problem 4/5 times. My friend is 9mo pregnant and couldn’t even get a refill of water from him and when she asked another server he gave her a dirty look. Unacceptable. The girl we had was wonderful and checked up on us and made sure we had everything we needed! I didn’t catch her name but she was newer and very nice. It’s like it goes 2 steps forward and 3 steps back with this place. We just order our food to go and no longer get appetizers or drinks or anything. I added pictures of when we last went with the girl server before we switched to just carry out now. Food is great again but John’s gotta go. **
The servers are not very attentive and lately have gotten my order wrong the last 2x I’ve gone. The broth seems inconsistent and is really good some days and okay on others. My husband loves this place but to regularly go at least once a week and experience this multiple times is bad. We are going to try other ramen places in Lubbock.
