Finally made it here to give Kelly’s Half Shell a try and we are so glad we did. We went the smoke salmon fish dip, 6 raw oysters, and since we were at an Irish Pub, the wife went with Shepherd’s pie and I went with the classic Fish & Chips. Everything was absolutely delicious and Adam was great all around. If you order the Shepherd’s pie, it is cooked to order, so it will be about 20-25 minutes, but well worth it. Had a few specialty drinks to top it all off with.

My friends and I went to Kelly’s Half Shell for lunch, and it ended up being some of the tastiest food I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was comfortable, and our waitress was friendly, attentive, and took the time to explain the menu clearly. We had the Buffalo-Blue Wexford Wings — ordered crispy! — piled with plenty of bleu cheese crumbles, and they came out perfectly sauced and flavorful. The Bacon Wrapped Shrimp were cooked with crisp bacon and served in a rich tequila-lime butter with mashed avocado, and the Charbroiled Oysters had a golden, bubbling topping of garlic-thyme butter, parmesan, and seasoning. We also enjoyed the Mini Melt from the Happy Hour menu and the Reuben Eggrolls, and everything came out hot, generous in portion, and full of great flavor exactly as described. Highly recommend Kelly’s Half Shell for a great lunch in Crystal River.

What a great find. Stopped in on my way up to Tallahassee and had dinner at the bar. Adam, the bartender, was friendly and attentive.
I had two different types of oysters, some lobster bisque, and homemade key lime pie. Everything was delicious. I would definitely come back!

We absolutely love coming here. Just be careful on rainy nights because the parking lot does flood! But the food and drinks are always so delicious. We’ve never been disappointed with anything at Kelly’s!

Has been a go to for us for years. Unfortunately, recent visit 1/18/26 was not good. They made changes, have changed the fish on their fish & chips dinner. It is now a beer batter that is hard and dry.
When we told our waitress she said that it was changed about a week ago. We shared our opinion and she went to the Manager. Nothing was done as it is what it is.
They need to just notify the customer of the change when they order, so that they can choose a different option. Also no longer have jerk chicken on the wedge salad…
They were busy so service was slower than normal but very friendly

It looks like a pub. It feels like a pub. But the pub food has a 5 Star Restaurant twist. I had the Kelly’s Oysters which have Parmesan cheeese, bacon and chives, and a cup of Lobster Bisque. The Kelly’s Oysters were a “Wow” moment on the first taste. Sweet, tender and juicy with just enough heat to wake up your taste buds. The Lobster Bisque had a generous spoonful of real lobster meat garnish and a satisfying thickness that spread the savory flavor with every bite. My husband had the Spicy Garlic and Parmesan Chicken Tenders. The spice was mild but these tenders were large and juicy. And lets not forget the huge menu of draft and bottle beer, cocktails and top shelf alcohol. If you’re in the Crystal River area, you need to stop in. Our waitress Mikayla will make you feel at home.

Went with a party of 9. They accepted our call ahead reservation. Small place so recommend calling ahead for a large group. I wish I remembered our servers name because they were exceptionally good. The server was so sweet to our 3 year old and was very attentive. Everyone in our party raved about the food.

Found this pub online and went for the rueben eggrolls. Upon arriving, we asked to be seated away from the door. They graciously cleared a table in the very back for us. They took us to the table and it was a 6-top (there were just 2 of us). We ended up taking a smaller table, but i thought it was so kind of them to offer a big table to meet our request. I ordered the lobster bisque, when it came out the server said “wait until you try this bread!”. I am normally NOT a bread person. We typically decline a bread basket wherever we go. Boy, am I glad I didn’t know that bread was coming with the meal! It was soft on the inside, crunchy on the inside, just a slight hint of sweetness……oh my goodness! Don’t sleep on it!
