Came here for a late lunch today and were very impressed! Great food and service. Husband got the shepherds pie and I got the chicken Caesar, then we shared the bread pudding!!

My husband had the Reuben, and I had the Shepherd’s Pie. But we started by sharing the macaroni and cheese. That was the best mac and cheese we have had so far in Portland. The Reuben was very juicy, and they didn’t scrimp with the meat. I had to take the Shepherds pie home after a few amazing bites, having enjoyed too much macaroni and cheese.

It was very busy because of the pride parade, so I’m cutting them some slack, but we definitely won’t be going back. Half our food was cold, which isn’t really a surprise since we didn’t receive any of our food for an hour after ordering. To be clear, we ordered an appetizer and got that with the rest of our food an hour after ordering. My sandwich had saurekraut, which I hate and had requested not to be on my sandwich. My bread was extremely burnt, and my wife’s “medium” burger was way undercooked. They did take the 2 meals off the tab since all we really ate were the fries, which is why I’m giving them 2 stars. FYI, the bread pudding wasn’t very good, according to the 2 people that ate it. It was really disappointing but you live and you learn.

Highly recommend! My husband and his family have been telling me great things about Kells and I finally got to experience it for myself. We visited on a Thursday evening and it was somewhat slow, but was starting to get busy when we left. The service was nice. They had live celtic music playing that made for the perfect atmosphere. There is so much to take in at the restaurant – music, architecture, decor, etc.

The service was great. Bread pudding is very tasty. Burger was average. Corned beef and cabbage should have been hotter.

Very cool atmosphere, it’s a classic Irish Pub, but a big one. We had the curry on fries, which turned out to be a great combination.

We didn’t have any food, but from what I saw, no complaints. There is a wide variety of Whiskey available and I highly recommend sampling a few. If you need a hand deciding, the staff will gladly help you out or give you more time. It was a busy Saturday night when my group was there, 5 of us, and it seemed that only two people and a chef were working, but we were never made to feel like a burden or hassle. We were welcomed and thanked for being there. I can’t recall the waiters name, likely due to how much I was enjoying the Whiskey, but I think his band was Dylan. He was incredibly kind and attentive, even though he had many tables. The live music was loud, but not an issue. It was a fun vibe and I would definitely go back. 10/10 – Recommend!

Nice place to start a beer tour, but the 3 beers we had were not my favorites. I loved learning the history of the building and seeing the basement cigar room, even though I don’t smoke.

Great place to go in Portland. Humidor cigar room downstairs. Great find and drink. Excellent time!!! Great people. Very friendly and courteous providing an amazing experience. There is all atmosphere of leisure and class. I will definitely go back many more times. Thanks for making this celebration one of the best. The mystique of the cigar room adds to the experience. Kelly’s is definitely an experience of its own amongst the plethora of Portland experiences.
