It’s been awhile since I felt this way.
Juicy warm honey, a blissful state.
I stopped into Kelley’s today.
I stopped in just to say,
“Hey! I can’t find my way!”
And then I saw his face. I smelled what he made and I knew what he did. I saw the fish.
He had a map in his hand, and he—
I said, “I don’t want this.”
A bead of sweat tiptoeing down his forehead. I stared at the fish.
Trembling, he stuttered it over.
I picked it up and bit in, over and over in order and over.
“Gimme that chili!”
His statue stood still staring.
I said, “gimme that chili!”
He passed it over with a cinnamon roll.
“What am I supposed to do with this, stick it in my butt?” I asked.
“People dip it in their chili,” he whispered.
“People dip it in their chili,” I says, dipping it into the chili, “people are stupid.”
Boy, I tell you.
Heaven can’t smile like I smiled that day.
Like morning dew, I sunk into the sky inna sweet sort of serenity.
So, I just gotta say. If you can’t find your way, drop in. Try some chili. I found mine.
I am now an active member in the church and you bet your bottom dollar I believe in a higher power.
And still… I find myself hoping to get lost again, just so I can end up back at Kelley’s.

Kelley’s is a cornerstone restaurant of the McBain area. Their food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the couple owning the store are so thoughtful and inspiring. If you have to get food for your family, then you can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas with chicken (bacon ranch or bbq). If you’re by yourself though, I swear to you their milkshakes are the literal best I’ve ever had. The strawberry milkshake made me have a Ratatouille childhood memory moment.

I was really disappointed with my visit. The girl at the counter was extremely rude and left our food sitting bagged up for over ten minutes until we finally went up and asked for it. No apology, no effort to make it right—just an attitude like we were bothering her.
By the time we got our order, the food was cold and overcooked. The wings were dry and dark like they’d been sitting too long, and the cheese curds (or whatever they were supposed to be) were hard and greasy instead of crispy and fresh.
It’s frustrating to spend money and get treated poorly, especially when the food isn’t even decent. Definitely won’t be back unless things change drastically—both in customer service and food quality.

The food is fantastic my favorite is broasted chicken. Sandwiches, subs burgers, pizza is all great!! We moved to the area recently and finding this gem was a game changer because we couldn’t find decent food close by. The story behind it is very sweet as well!! Thank you for great food!

100% recommend ordering their party pizzas for large gatherings. I ordered 6 of them for over 50 people and everyone loved it. They had them ready for pickup on time and even carried them out for me. The chicken bacon ranch is always a big hit at my shop!

I loved the home town feel of this place! Everyone called to each other by name and the owner is a friendly young man that was very engaging. The pancakes abd bacon were very good my wife’s 2 eggs bacon toast and hash browns were very good. $26 for 2 beats fast food. Do jot go here if your looking for a posh place this is home town and is awesome! Ill be back!
