If leave here hungry, I don’t know what to tell you. I can put away some food, but everything I’ve ordered, I have to take half of it home. Service is friendly and my cup has never been empty. Food comes out quick and hot. Prices are great compared to the food you get. Nice quiet atmosphere.

So first strike was the fried green tomatoes,they were cut too thin and over cooked. Then we ordered their chicken fried bacon. It was barely cooked before it was fried(see photo). Thats sooooo dangerous serving undercooked pork….just sayin…

Absolutely delicious! The onion rings are so good. All the food cam out in short time and tasted great. Our server was fun and took great care of us. This is now our breakfast stop every time we leave Galveston.

Home style cooking and huge portions at its best. Never been disappointed here and never able to finish . I got one of the Tuesday specials, fried catfish with three sides- black eyed peas, mashed potatoes and fried okra. One catfish filet instead of two as suggested by Amanda, our efficient and friendly waitress. Thank. Goodness. I could only eat half of the fish and a third of everything else. The okra was crispy. Potatoes had lumps – yay! , but the black eyed peas and catfish stole the show. Delicious as always! Husband got the stuffed biscuit and it was humongous!

Kelley’s Country Cooking has the best chicken fried steak anywhere. Side choices are delicious. The atmosphere is lovely. I love the booths feel like you have more privacy than most dine in restaurants. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is clean. I did not wait long at all to get my food. I wish there was one in Katy I would go all the time.
