I ordered a sheet cake about 2 weeks before my husband’s birthday. I did the order in person at the downtown location and I paid for the order at that time. When I arrived to pick up the cake, At first, they could not find it. Finally after about 10 minutes she discovered that it was in the cooler. This gave me a mini heart attack because this was for his 50th birthday celebration. FYI…The lady that helped me was very nice. However, the cake was very dry and nasty! As a child I’ve always gotten my cakes from Kelley’s and they’ve always been good. This time left me disappointed and embarrassed to serve this to our guests. Needless to say the cake went in the trash and I will not be ordering cake from them again. Do to my experience I would not recommend this place for cakes, but I highly recommend them for king cakes.

If you haven’t tried their king cakes you’re missing out. The Danish pastry they use coupled with the various cream cheese fruit fillings is phenomenal. These king cakes are pricey, but absolutely worth the amount.

I was extremely disappointed with the King Cake I bought from them. I found two strands of hair baked into the cake, which was absolutely disgusting. For a business in the food service industry, this is an unacceptable level of carelessness and poor hygiene. What makes it worse is that their King Cakes aren’t cheap at all, so paying that much and ending up with something inedible felt like throwing my money straight into the trash. This experience completely turned me off, and I would not recommend this bakery to anyone.

So frustrating! Online link to order never ever works even though they advertise on their Facebook to order online. No one picks up the phone when you try to call. I called over 3 times and finally was answered and the tone of this young ladies voice was very rude. Let’s just say I did not and will not ever order from here. Will take my business elsewhere. Twins on the other hand is extremely friendly, and don’t give attitude when you call even though they are 100x more busy.

This local bakery has been doing business in Lafayette for 93 years and owned by the same family. I think it’s in its fourth generation. Some favorites are the cinnamon rolls and of course their famous King Cakes. They are one of Lafayette’s favorite bakeries for this famous Mardi Gras cake

Paid 170 for three king cakes and wanted to charge me 2.50 per king cake to be put in a box. This is the only place that charges to have a king cake in a box. Youngsville location will get all my business going forward.
