It is NOT A NICE SIT DOWN RESTAURANT, IT IS a seafood establishment that has a large sitting area with limited seating, not all tables have enough chairs. We had to move chairs from one table to sit, leaving a table with no chairs. They do not allow substitutions, and the staff got an attitude when I asked. They have the option for bottled drink but not all are cold, Calypso are room temperature. The prices are decent for the amount of food you get and it is GOOD. There was a group of teenagers sitting outside the door smoking weed too…. to give a stereotype to the place. I would order food to go, but I will not bring my family (children & husband) to sit down and eat.

Great seafood boil!! You get a huge aluminum pan sized boil to yourself for like 25 bucks a person! Can’t be beat ANYWHERE!!! This Mobile, AL seafood local hotspot came recommended by my fiance’s brother while we visited the Gulf area.
Ate here and had leftovers for the rest of the evening and next morning!

This was my 4th time there. Whenever I am in that area of Mobile, I try to drop in. It was uncomfortable inside on this visit due to the heat. Im not sure if they are having AC issues or if it is just so hot this summer that their unit (like many others) can’t keep up. That had no bearing on the food though. The food was exceptional, as always. I had crab legs and turkey necks with rice and gravy. I will definitely be back and love supporting local, small business.

For $20.89 a plate of oysters crab claws okra coleslaw… Can’t beat that at all. Food in some of the best fried seafood I have tasted in a while I don’t really eat a restaurant very much due to the lack of seasoning but this place was definitely pretty good and guys at counter very nice

The food was decent though not seasoned well (I got the spicy boiled shrimp with sausage and two pieces of corn on the cob and a cup of butter but it wasn’t spicy at all). Decent selection of beer (I got a Miller lite). Place what’s dirty had smell to it like it hadn’t been cleaned. However service was not good.. specifically with the cashier / waiter or waitress whatever their pronouns are lol. I mean it’s obviously a guy I called him sir and I guess he got offended by it had an attitude but it’s whatever. It could also be why I got my food last even though that my order came before everybody elses at the time (they call you by number). He also seems have little patience for people ordering we’re taking a minute to decide what they want. Although it could be because I was the only white customer in there except for transy and everybody else was black and I stuck out like a sore thumb. Get a few stares. The wait wasn’t good at all it was around 45 to an hour and I should have gotten my food a lot sooner because my number came before most people though it was never called. Also I could have sworn that I had came in there around 3:00 to 4:00 (supposedly they don’t close until 5:00) and they didn’t allow me to dine in. Though it could be a rule and that you can’t dine in at all even though that they have chairs and tables like a normal restaurant. I remember other people in their dining as well so I was kind of was confused about it. Though cashier said that it was after hours for dine in. The only decent thing about the whole experience was the black lady who gave me my food because she seemed nice and the food was ok. However overall I don’t recommend the place at all for the service or the atmosphere

We arrived around 5pm. The orders never stopped. The people that work here are phenomenal and they really have to hustle to take care of patrons. The food was perfectly seasoned, fresh and reasonably priced!

Snowcrab EXTREMELY overcooked. I’m literally having to chisel the meat out of every single piece of shell with a butter knife! Ordered fried oysters and the grease is so nasty burnt its masking the flavor of the food. When young man was bagging up boxes to go he’s slinging the two measly little condiments in like he hates me personally…no napkins, no utensils.
10/2/24- decided to take another chance on K&D. Pleasantly surprised!! Got the snow crab box and oysters. Food was the bomb! Service is fast and friendly, restaurant clean and welcoming. Will be back. Good job, K&D!!!

Don’t play With me
Decent prices, large portions. The crabs were overcooked and it shouldn’t be like that damn near needed a nutcracker to get them open and the meat should have been sliding out the legs. For the price I paid , y’all owe me a redo, or refund ain’t no way the crabs should have been like that and on top of that I waited 45mins just to get me food smh. I ordered 2 crab lovers with extra potatoes and sausages with double eggs. I also ordered those crazy fries with whatever it’s called now those were very good. I need y’all to remake my order free of charge seriously disappointed with my crabs legs. I spent $78.00 for overcooked crab legs. Another thing for newcomers like myself you need a sign at the door telling people they have to seat themselves, I truly thought this was restaurant style like juicy crab or something. I stood there for a good 3minutes and still no hello from cashier or back behind counter people. I usually go to happy tails were I le ave very happy but my friend recommended this spot due to the portion sizes
