I wanted to explore more Filipino food after I have tried it for a while. I chose KC Filipino Restaurant because I wanted to try Crispy Pata (Crispy Knuckle) that not many places serve it. (mostly pork belly) When I got inside the atmosphere was very casual and seem like a cafeteria or canteen style with mini mart. It might be very familiar for Asian people like me or Filipino. Too bad that they don’t have menu or any food name on display glass counter, so it wasn’t quite easy for me to order something else that I wanted to try (besides Crispy Pata).

Food was fantastic – chicken adobo and pork menudo were flavorful and delicious! Lunch time was busy so there was a decent wait but it was worth it – I’ll be coming back to try some more stuff and to buy snacks from their mini market!

Let me first start this recommendation with this place is outstanding. Truly authentic home-style cuisine. If you had a Filipino friend or went to a Filipino function, this is the food you would get. Tasty and definitely made with love.

We stumbled across this lovely cafeteria style restaurant as it’s located in same shopping complex as the Tile Shop. Before agonizing over different shades of white bathroom tile, we decided to try out this restaurant as neither my husband or I have ever tried Filipino food. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of booth seating. We were a little confused at first on how to order because we saw no menu listing the various food items, but staff explained the various meat and veggie options. I ordered the barbecue pork with a delicious vegetable stew made with squash, shrimp, and long beans in a light coconut milk. It came with a heaping serving of white rice. My husband ordered same veggie stew and chicken adobo and liked his food as well. I grabbed a dessert—a rice cake called sapin-sapin—from their refrigerator as they are a small market and have prepared foods to take out as well. It was delicious! Would definitely go back again!

Stingy with the portions. The halohalo was a disappointment. Lots of shaved ice and the jackfruit tasted a little off. ‘Saving grace’ were the pork sinigang and the fried bangus.

There’s no menu and no identification of the prepared hot foods they have that day, so you have to point and ask. The food I selected for carry-out was good and standard serving sizes. Staff isn’t very friendly though, I may have been inclined to buy more but it felt like I was bothering them every time I asked about one of the prepared dishes (one word response, heavy sighs and even an eye roll). I was from out of town and can’t get Filipino food where I live so I was looking forward to eating some. There’s a small market inside which has a pretty good variety of breads, snacks, seasonings, etc and refrigerated cases of to-go brazo, bibingka, commercial pastillas, empanadas, even salted eggs (though they couldn’t tell me if they were chicken or duck), canned beverages, etc. I may go back there if I was looking for something specific and they had it because the food I got that day was good. But there are a couple of other filipino food places I would probably consider going to first.

Last week I paid 9.95 for pancit/noodle bowl and today 10.95. My daughter-in-law who is Filipino said I was overcharged. I paid over 15.00 for 2 egg rolls and a noodle bowl. While their food is tasty, they need to be more transparent with their pricing. Please post your prices in your restaurant so people don’t have to rely on a person’s memory. Also paper menus with prices will help.

This was my first time here. The Filipino food isn’t that good. However, the lumpia wasn’t too bad at all.
