Had a wonderful experience. The food and staff were amazing. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back with the family. Had the Lechon Asado and sample. I felt the portion was enough to share with another person. The empanadas were delicious

Great food! Service was a bit slow but our waitress was pleasant and helpful. Mojitos were strong just the way I like them!

Burrito was shocked when they seated a couple right next to us, inside, that brought a little poodle type dog in a bubble back pack. The people literally set the dog on the booth bench next to me. Picture, booth running the length of the wall with two top tables along it. The dog was literally table height next to me panting in its little bubble. While the dog was quiet and very good and stayed in its bubble, I’m still sure that having the dog in the restaurant, seated at the table, was a health code violation, bubble or not. I can’t make this stuff up. The meal started strong for us with the appetizer platter. The croquettes were delicious. The beef empanadas are also a winner. You get three, so if you are doing mixed you need to specify you want two beef and one chicken because they don’t ask. The beef ones are better than the chicken. It was basically all downhill after that and not just because of the arrival of the people with the dog. Burrito got a Philly cheesesteak, in which, they didn’t even bother to chop up the meat. They just took the flat meat pack, left it as a unit, and didn’t bother to chop it up on the grill and blend in the cheese and the peppers and the onions. Dumpling’s Cuban sandwich was disappointing. If you are a Cuban restaurant and don’t make a good Cuban sandwich that basically is all anyone needs to know. The mustard was lack luster and low in proportion to the sandwich and bread, and the ham was scant. It was literally one piece of packaged style deli ham. We won’t be back.

I recently visited K Bola Cuban Restaurant, and my overall experience was mixed. The food was okay, but the flavors didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Most of the sauces had a strong vinegary taste that overpowered the other flavors, and there was only one salad option, which was also vinegar-based. A little more variety and balance in the menu would be nice.
On the positive side, the atmosphere was great. The outside patio was very comfortable and had a nice cool breeze, which was perfect for a hot day. It made sitting outside relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated how clean the restaurant was, including the bathrooms — which says a lot about how the place is maintained.
Overall, while the service and cleanliness were excellent, the food could use more variety and less heavy vinegar flavoring. I’d rate my experience about 3 out of 5 stars.

I had so many firsts at K’bola and it absolutely did not disappoint. It was my very first time at a Cuban restaurant, trying Cuban food, and I truly loved how K’bola brought the spirit and flavors of Cuba right here to Virginia.
What made it even more special was seeing how happy and nostalgic my Cuban husband was. From the moment he saw the menu to the first bite of our meal, I could see how much it meant to him—and the flavors did not disappoint. The food was authentic, delicious, and full of heart.
My only wish is that we didn’t live an hour away from K’bola, because I would love to have Ropa Vieja again right now! Thank you for giving us such a warm and memorable experience.

My husband and I ate dinner at K’Bola, and it was a great experience. Most of the items on the menu are naturally gluten free. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered the churrasco and requested it embocellado style, meaning it is flank steak flattened with a tenderizer and served with grilled onions. My husband ordered the shrimp sauteed with butter and garlic. I order black beans and tostones as my sides. Tostones are unripened plantains that are fried in rounds, flattened, and fried again. My husband ordered boiled yuca and black beans & rice for his 2 sides. It was all delicious. The meals were extremely flavorful and not overcomplicated.
The ambiance is great. There is Cuban music playing, and I got to listen to Guantanavera which is a classic. The TV also has continuous video of various places and scenery in Cuba. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.
This was very authentic cuisine, and I will definitely return next time we’re in the area.

Serious Cuban food!
For appetizer – K’Bola combo.
Main course:
We ordered Arroz Frito K’Bola. It’s like fried rice but you can customize it to what you want. It is made to order. Camarones – Garlic shrimp with 2 sides. So we picked fried sweet plantain and rice and beans. Very tasty. We also ordered the Famoso Cubano with a side.
It’s a lot of food so I’ll suggest to share. Everything was very tasty and the kids loved it. The service was good. Everyone was super friendly.
I will definitely recommend this place.
