It disappeared my birthday with my friends tonight. It was so very hot upstairs that it was hard for us to enjoy our time together. Our first drinks took at least 35 mins if not longer, and when they got to us the ice was melted and the drinks were horrible. I called ahead and told them the birthday girl was a vegan and was told they could accommodate her … not true at all!!’ Service was so slow that I will not be back again even tho my friends said the food was good., for me, I cook better at home. Let me give you a tip, when a birthday or any party comes there to eat … acknowledge that it is a special occasion. Nothing from your staff even tho I called days ahead. Won’t be back! Decor hasn’t change one bit .. looks the same as Abre Lanes

Really great food, but the service is straight up rude. They speak quickly , curtly and offendenly and confront you with a tone as though you’re bothering them by making suggestions at their establishment. I’ll continue to come for the good food, but it doesn’t take too much to speak with kindness.

I have tried this place a few times and I want to like it so I can support small businesses. However I have been really disappointed. My first meal was a philly. Over vegged and greasy to the point it deteriorated the hoagie. Second time I tried the ribs based off of others recommendations. St. Louis style and they were tough and pink next to the bone. I ended up tossing them. Lastly I had a bbq sandwich and fries. The fries are the best thing I had. The bbq pork was served with a vinegar sauce that might as well have been Mrs Griffins cut with 4 times the vinegar. I know some people like that but I prefer a tomato and molasses based sauce.
The owner was really nice and friendly when they first opened. He was passionate about his business. The past two times I was in there however there was a real serious woman at the counter that did little things to cut budgetary corners an come across wrong. Example: she would wait to give to-go customers their drink cup until their food was ready to keep them from drinking extra soda while they waited. Also she seemed like she wanted to charge for ketchup packets over 3 for a basket of fries.
