Chef Oliver was fantastic, explaining all the fish, origin and sharing tips he uses. The sushi was a fantastic mix of flavors, flamed courses including smoke, garlic, with excellent presentation. The Chef even set my wife’s sushi up for her being left handed for picking up. The entire experience was fantastic, coming from an avid fisherman (including tuna). Highly recommend it.

This 13-course omakase, accompanied by dessert, offers an exceptional dining experience. The service is impeccable, with a score of 10 out of 10. The food is equally impressive, earning a perfect score of 10. The atmosphere is also top-notch, with a score of 10 out of 10.

The omakase is served in a counter seating arrangement, and there are three chefs for each group, accommodating no more than 4-6 people. The portion of fish and rice is perfectly balanced, and the pace of the meal is well-maintained. The chefs regularly check in to ensure that you’re enjoying your experience. Would recommend, make sure you make your reservation via RESY.

I’ve been to about 5-6 NYC omakases around this price range and I think Kazumi Omakase is the best one so far.

Menu emphasizes the quality and flavor of their fish selections. No need for many toppings or gimmicks, just amazing fish. Standout pieces were akami, truffle Wagyu, Hokkaido uni.

We received complimentary sake which was a nice bonus. Crème brulee cheesecake was a nice end to the meal. Ambience was very comforting, it gives off a modern, warm feel that is cozy.

Special shout out to chef Wayne, excellent precision and attention to detail, while also being very friendly.

10/10, would come back.

Came here for the 13-course, $75 omakase and glad to say we weren’t disappointed, I had one of the better omakase experiences I’ve had in the city.

Everything was super fresh and good quality for the price, with some standouts being the seared Wagyu, toro, and uni.

Also enjoyed the small miso cheesecake and the Peach Yuzu Soda I ordered (not included). The chefs were friendly and informative regarding any questions we had about the fish/ingredients.

It’s more spacious inside than other omakase spots I’ve been to, as they have both bar counter seating and regular table seating.

Man, oh man!” This place is a sashimi and sushi heaven. If you’ve never tried it or been here before, it’s an absolute must!

The fish is incredibly fresh—like it was just caught—and paired with amazing, creative flavor combinations. You can even watch the chefs prepare the sushi, which makes the experience even more special.

We did the 13-course omakase for $75, and it was outstanding. From the friendly servers and warm interior to the exceptional chefs, everything was top-notch.

Impressive omakase, great value. The main difference with other omakase restaurants in the area is how the chef processes the ingredients.

The cuts and the grill make everything how it’s supposed to be, tender or chewy. The Otoro had completely no fiber-ish texture at all that it almost melted in the mouth.

The A La Carte menu was also extensive and creative, with the one I tried: the Big Mac. Rice Cracker wrapped minced otoro, wagyu, caviar. Definitely 10/10.

Overall vibe was welcoming, and it was also quiet enough to enjoy the experience.

Visited 12-6-25 – 6pm. Amazing! This was our first omakase experience. We researched many options before selecting this restaurant. It appeared to have the right balance of ambiance, quality, and price. The friendly hospitality started from the moment we entered. The knowledgeable staff educated us on the Sake menu and we were very happy with our choice. We never had to touch our bottle as it was replenished regularly by an attentive server. We are from a much smaller city and are used to “standard sushi” items. We were blown away by the quality, preparation, and attention to detail. Our sushi chef was super friendly and accommodated my request to avoid scallops. I didn’t always understand exactly what he was saying but it added to the authenticity and could tell he was well trained. I now feel spoiled and want to have this type of experience on a more regular basis. The only thing I would do differently is to do more menu item research on my own before dining next time. Everything tasted great but I felt guilty for not knowing more about some of the unique menu items. Choosing a “favorite” course was difficult. It seemed like whatever I was eating at the moment became my new favorite (I guess that means it was all incredible). Thank you for making this dinner a highlight of our visit to NYC!

I came here for dinner and enjoyed my experience! Located in the west village, this cozy spot has both bar and table seating. When we came, we booked at 7:30pm reservation, but they accidentally had it down as 7pm and booked another table at our seats at 8pm. So unfortunately, we weren’t able to sit at the bar the entire time and had to be moved to a table. Not the biggest deal, but I think I would’ve enjoyed my meal a lot more at the bar. Otherwise, service was great. They were attentive and I also loved how they didn’t put the next course onto your plate until you’ve finished your most recent one (some places stack them and it feels rushed).

We did their 13-course omakase and everything was delicious! I thought their cuts were thick, and the rice ratio was perfect. My favorite pieces of the night were the salmon and uni (which they stacked with so much uni). Everything was fresh and I absolutely loved it. Would recommend this spot as a more affordable omakase that definitely gives a higher-end experience!

I recommend Kazumi for a high quality and affordable omakase in Greenwich Village. For $75 per person, you get a delicious 13 course omakase. Each piece was made with care and beautifully presented. From wagyu and toro to uni and ikura, I loved how fresh everything was. This is definitely one of my top 3 omakase spots in New York.
