I recently visited Kazu Kitchen and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, Chicken Karaage, and Hibachi (steak and shrimp), all three dishes were absolutely delicious.
The Tonkotsu Ramen had a rich and flavorful broth that was perfectly balanced, not too salty like some other ramen places I’ve tried. The noodles had a nice texture, and the toppings complemented the soup so well. You can tell a lot of care goes into making it.
The Chicken Karaage was another highlight, crispy and golden on the outside, juicy and tender inside. It was freshly fried and full of flavor, definitely one of the best I’ve had!
The Hibachi steak and shrimp were cooked just right, the steak was tender and flavorful, and the shrimp were fresh and perfectly seasoned.
The restaurant itself has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and you can feel the heart the owner puts into it. She’s incredibly friendly and kind, making the whole dining experience even better.
Overall, Kazu Kitchen is a hidden gem in Denville, great food, great people, and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to again and again!

Walked in on a whim hungry for some commute home takeout. Staff (owners?) were immediately incredibly friendly and hospitable. It was my first time there and they happily answered any question and provided some recommendations on what to get. I got the hibachi steak and vegetables over fried rice. It was delicious. Tasted great. Texture was perfect. Meat was high quality. Everything was delicious. The portion was great for the price and the takeout packaging was very secure. 10/10 will be back and plan to sit down and eat

We live in town but it was our first time here tonight. The woman who served us was SO friendly and quick. The hibachi steak was super good and so was my husband’s general tso’s. Even the “small” portions were wayyy more than enough and the prices were GREAT. We will 100% be back to try the ramen. So happy such a great place is so close to home. 10/10 recommend

Wow! Tried this place for the first time and I’m definitely coming back! My friend and I tried the Miso ramen, yaki ramen, and two different mochi ice cream desserts. I loved the miso ramen! Pork was cooked excellent, great portion size, fresh noodles! The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly! It seemed a lot of the people coming in were regulars, and I totally see why.

I highly recommend Katzu Kitchen. It is a casual, local Japanese restaurant located in Denville, NJ. It is very clean and simple, with an excellent staff and chef. The table service was very professional and friendly. We ordered Shumai, Gyoza, Orange Chiken, Beef Fried Rice, and the world’s best Avacado Salad. It was plenty of food and we ate every morsel! When in or near Denville NJ, give it a try!!

I’ve had A LOT of egg drop soup and I was blown away. Everything we ordered was fantastic, but I can’t say enough about how good that egg drop soup was. FANTASTIC. Will definitely come back when we visit again.

The ramen and tempura here is delicious!! The new owners are so kind, made sure I enjoyed my meal and were very friendly. They just moved here from Oklahoma to be near family. New things to come on the menu and they even let me sample their new spicy edamame- delicious! The tempura plate had both veggies and shrimp (very large pieces!) and a side of fried rice and a choice of soda or miso soup- all for $15. You can’t get those portion sizes and price anywhere these days- it was all well worth it! Definitely a hidden gem right across from the denville train station 🙂

Very decent prices, friendly staff, and a hygienic environment. It’s the best place for Ramen – please go! We ordered a few appetizers, my husband chose the Hibachi shrimp, and I had the Ramen. Everything tasted great. We will definitely come back! BTW, free parking lot, eazy to find a spot!

Very friendly and helpful staff/owners. Food was great! Loved the ramen and the hot oil to make it spicier was a great touch. Jalapeño stuffed app was also fantastic highly recommended. If you’re craving ramen definitely try Kazu out.
