At Kazoopy’s Pizza & Grinders, we believe it is all about the taste. That’s why we use whole meats which taste better and are healthier, not processed cold cuts. Our cheese is real. We offer provolone, cheddar, swiss, and a 4-blend for maximum taste. We use a special blend of herbs and spices for our pizza sauce and Kazoopysauce. WARNING: We have been told our Kazoopysauce is addicting. Our pizza dough and Italian Sourdough grinder bread are baked fresh daily from an old world Italian recipe. We know using higher quality ingredients cost more, but we believeit is worth it. We believe you are worth it!

This will be long and drawn out so buckle up buttercup. I was in this area late 80’s early 90’s and there was a place called Hungry Howie’s that had the most amazing late night craving satisfying sandwich called a pizza sub. This was the most glorious sandwich, on hogie/submarine style sandwich. You know bread like subway, firehouse or jimmy johns. At some point hungry howies switched to just folding a pizza in half and calling that a pizza sub. Very dissatisfying to say the least. Anywho I made my triumphant returns to the area searching to scratch that itch for a bygone pizza sub when I stumbled upon Kazoopy’s on the old interweb. I saw in the grinder section they have a pizza sub, my heart palpitated, could it be? Even the delivery box claims “Michigan’s best sub sandwich!” In the words of Lee Corso, “Not so fast my friends”. It looks like they just took pizza dough and turned it into a focaccia style bread and are calling it a pizza sub. Here’s the disappointing thing, minus the bread, the ingredients are fantastic. The sauce, pepperoni, sausage, provolone, mmm chef’s kiss. Unfortunately the bread choice is a let down. If you’re going to call it a grinder use your grinder bread. Don’t cheat the pizza sub from it’s place at the top of your menu choices.

OH THESE GRINDERS!!! I can’t believe we’ve lived in Kalamazoo for a couple of years and not been here yet. Now we’ll be back often. The bread is incredible, the selection is wide (over 40 grinders! plus pizza!), and the owner is SO NICE. There is one handicap spot right by the door, and the entrance is ramped a bit. There are 3 tables inside, so if it is crowded, get your meal to go.

Rolled into K-zoo around 8 and found Kazoopy’s via Google. Noticed they were open till 9 on weekdays. I try and look for places that are different, and I found one. Ordered a 12″ pepperoni and bacon pizza to go. 10 – 15 minutes later, I was walking out with a hot, fresh pizza. The crust is a soft dough, almost soft breadstick like, finished with a buttery and parm sprinkle. Generous toppings. Couldn’t finish the whole thing and had the last slice in the morning for breakfast. It’s one of a small few pizzas that is good cold the next day. – Friendly, helpful staff.

Placed an online order for a calzone. Imagine my surprise when my calzone wasn’t a calzone but a pizza. I can’t imagine anyone mistaking the word canlzone for pizza. To say I am very disappointed would be an understatement. I will take my business to Mancinos where they make what I order.

I can honestly say the pizza I ordered on 4/26/25 was the worst pizza I have had in a very long time. Sauce non existent, crust undercooked with no taste. Vegetables appeared to be not cooked at all. Couldn’t eat it or doctor it enough. It ended up in the trash can
