Love the atmosphere! He displays slave manifestó and pictures of slaves.. He has a jazz band usually in the front of the building , a kitchen and sit down with tables section, an outside palladium that is beautiful and full or historic bricks, and a cigar bar attached to the back of it! Couldn’t for the life of me, figure out why… I walked in there the last weekend of Mardi Gras, just looking for a place that’s not too packed…. to get a few drinks and they just did not want to serve me at all. Obviously, they could tell I was not from here…. Who knows. I’m always so patient. But after they approached the two ladies that walked in several minutes after me immediately. I just had to get up and leave because that has never happened to me before in my life.

I was invited to Kazoola for lunch and I left pleasantly satisfied. I ordered lemon pepper wings and fries. Those wings were the tastiest wings that I have had in a while. My friends ordered other dishes and they all looked amazing. We tried the cheesecake that had a watermelon purée and you can tell it was homemade with love. Also, Your drink comes with your meal at great prices. I have found my new downtown lunch spot.

Kazoola’s is definitely for the grown, mature, and sexy. The food is good. I also enjoy the cigar lounge. It’s nice and cozy with great drinks from some Awesome Bartenders. The live bands and DJ’s are always good. Fun place go for a first date or any date! Sunday brunch is also delicious, not to mention crawfish in the courtyard!!
