Amazing experience at Kazoku Hibachi & Sushi! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious — the vegetable tempura was perfectly crispy, the crab rangoon was fresh and flavorful, and the bento box was very satisfying.
The bento and the unagidon were especially impressive — not only tasted incredible, but the presentation was truly beautiful. You can tell a lot of care goes into how the food is prepared and served.
Great food, great atmosphere, and I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Great little cafe-style, order-at-the-table sushi restaurant. Extremely clean, well lit with a large bank of windows in the front of the place. Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. We ordered the Philadelphia, Extra Crunchy Shrimp, and the Cowboy rolls with a side of noodles, all to share, and they served our rolls on a cute decorative platter including a ginger ‘rose’ & a dab of wasabi and gave us separate plates to use.
All three rolls AND The noodles were excellent! The pricing is very affordable, too!!
Try this place soon! If you don’t live in Joplin, they are definitely worth the drive!

I made a special trip from Pittsburg to Joplin today to try this new location, and it was absolutely worth it!
This is a family-owned Japanese restaurant, and you can really feel the warmth and effort they put into everything. The staff always greet you with a smile, creating a welcoming and happy atmosphere.
The food is top-notch — the sashimi is incredibly fresh and cut generously, the sushi rolls are flavorful with perfectly cooked rice, and the teppanyaki is done with great skill. Everything from the presentation to the small details like garnishes and sauces shows real care and quality.

Trust me and just get a fried roll!! If it says 5 pieces don’t worry it will fill you up. Beautiful crisp fry not to heavy amazing sauce.

The food was amazing and Brandon our waiter was fantastic and very patient with us and suggested foods that would interest us after asking some basic questions. Once we received our foods the displays were absolutely beautiful and colorful! The food itself was AMAZING!! The restaurant is just a little cool so wear a long sleeve or light jacket. IF YOU’RE A FAN OF SUSHI AND BOBA TEA THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!

Had an excellent take out meal from Kazoku in Joplin, MO! Everything was fresh & flavorful. I ordered the white tuna, tamago, avocado roll with cream cheese and cucumber, egg fried rice, and Korean beef short rib — plus the classic onion soup and salad.
The short rib was perfectly tender with great flavor, the sushi was fresh and well-balanced, and the egg fried rice wasn’t what I expected but was still good and had just the right texture. Even the soup and salad hit the spot.
