What a pleasant surprise in Marshall at a Japanese restaurant! So friendly and the food was beautiful and tasted great!!! I’ve had sushi many places, including big cities, but this was one of my favorite experiences! It needs a little paint and a good cleaning, but it was well worth it!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The service was poor from the start—our server was inattentive, and my sister repeatedly had to get up from the table to ask for basic things we needed. On top of that, we were automatically charged a $15 tip without any prior notice. Nowhere in the restaurant does it state that gratuity is automatically added, and the receipt clearly says this applies to parties of 6, yet we were only a party of 3.
When we questioned this, the server attempted to negotiate an 18% tip and did not give us the option to choose the amount we wanted to leave, which is completely inappropriate. The situation escalated further when the server called us poor, which is beyond disrespectful and unprofessional.
Between the lack of service, unauthorized gratuity charge, and outright rude behavior, this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects transparency, respect, or basic customer service.

Rude staff, mediocre to terrible food , overpriced for the size of town it is in, and in my opinion, not worth a damn! Japanese style food in a Hardee’s building. Never eating here again. Ordered an expensive variety plate of sushi and 1. They brought out the wrong order, 2. It was warm… 3. Told waiter after I had eaten 1/2 of a piece of sushi that it was warm and wasn’t what I actually ordered. He took my plate, offered no apologies, and charged us full price for my order still. . This was my second chance visit because the first was also not a good experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND! ⛔️⛔️⛔️

I used to LOVE this place. Like, ordered weekly at a minimum. But over the last few months, there’s been a HEAVY decline in the quality. 2 months ago I got moldy salad. When I mentioned this, the waiter took the bowl and got me fresh but did not acknowledge it and I was still charged full price. Okay, fine no buggy stuff happens. But it definitely make me rethink wanting to eat here. Today, I order again by delivery this time. The food arrived and the salad was again so old it was inedible. AND the avocado in my rolls was brown all the way through. Im still giving 3 stars because I genuinely love this restaurant and the food can be so delicious. Please do better

A little, unassuming hole in the wall place. Those are definitely some of the best. We have had sushi/hibachi at several places, and this place is just a good as any of those. We would definitely stop by again if passing through the area.

Pleasantly surprised at such amazing sushi at a tiny place that used to be a Hardee’s! Same owner’s as Nikuni in Sedalia, another great place! Sushi rolls and sashimi were delicious and fresh, seaweed salad very good, and house saki very smooth.

Let me tell you The food was awesome and filling and staff was on top of our stuff never really had to ask for anything and the restaurant was super clean and organized would recommended to anybody. They are on the expensive side but you get a lot of food and when say a lot I mean it.
