Being a typical Chinese restaurant, just don’t expect a great ambiance as they prefer to focus more on the quality of food! The service is pretty fast as they delivered the food within 10 mins despite giving me a time limit of 15mins.
I ordered Hot and sour soup, Pan fried chicken dumplings and Veg Fried rice.
Hot and Sour soup: Initially thought it would be chicken but turned out veg. The soup was living to its name though it was a little less hot than expected and had mushrooms, veggies, and a good amount of soy sauce and it tasted good.
Pan fried chicken dumplings: Initially thought of ordering steamed but went for pan fried and loved it! The layering was good not too thick and thin whereas I wish the chicken had a bit of spices but I think they had added chives. The soy sauce accompanied by it was good too.
Veg Fried rice: Fried rice had snow peas, broccoli, carrot, green peas, baby corn. The rice though felt a bit dry and could have been better. They served it in a takeout box and the box was a pretty cute one!
Overall an affordable place to get good Chinese food within the neighborhood.
I ordered from their website which was an easy experience. I ordered the Orange Chicken combo, General Tso’s Chicken combo, Crab Rangoon’s, and Pork Lo Mein. The price came to $29 total without tip. The website said delivery should take 20-30 minutes but unfortunately it actually took 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach my door. I would’ve been empathetic with the long delivery time if he was on a bike but he showed up in his car. I called them after 45 minutes but they didn’t answer the phone until the 5th time I called them. Loss of 1 star for poor delivery experience.
The food was still warm but in my order instructions I requested spicy mustard packets. I do this because it shows if a restaurant pays attention to the small details. If a restaurant pays attention to the small details you can bet that the food will be excellent. Unfortunately this restaurant failed that test as they forgot the spicy mustard. Loss of star.
The combo’s come with pork fried rice, bottled water, and egg roll. The egg roll tasted stale. The fried rice was good. We enjoyed the Crab Rangoon’s as it was a good ratio cream cheese to crab. The Pork Lo Mein was oily and didn’t have a lot of flavor. The General Tso’s Chicken was good but the Orange Chicken was dry. Overall the food was decent but not good enough to want to order from here again. Loss of 1 star.
