Kay’s was a nice experience. Our sever was pleasant and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. I had the most delicious baked stuffed shrimp. It was served with some fantastic seasoned & grilled green beans, and some roasted baby potatoes with rosemary. I ordered a peach sangria, which was incredibly refreshing. I would definitely dine here again.

Great, old school spot conveniently located downtown. Service was attentive and Kim was great! Food was delicious and so cool with the menu on the napkins. Great steak and cheese sandwich. Definitely stop in for a visit and chat with the locals at the bar!

I really enjoy the dining experience at Kay’s restaurant either solo and with family or friends. There are two dining experiences inside of Kay’s, one at the friendly inside bar which includes a a couple of TV screens, and the other adjacent to it in the dining room with two levels. Included in the dining room are tables which can be joined together upon request for larger groups and booths for size guests from 2 two 6 people. That staff is friendly and very hospitable to all with prompt efficient service in both areas of the restaurant. To be noted especaillly outside of their previous original “cocktail napkin” menu of custom made sandwhiches that there is also an enhanced menu and daily specials boards as well. My favorite meal is a Howler Head Old Fashioned, with the Ahi Tuna appetizer followed by the Fish Taco’s though I also enjoy their tender Roast Beef and Cheese sandwiches as well. It’s a definite must to experience their outdoor cafe dining across the street as well and was one of the initial restaurants in Woonsocket to include this venue during COVID for social distancing where the staff is just as prompt and friendly serving fresh food and beverages made freshly from the restaurant when requested!

I’ve only been here for lunch but, it never disappoints. The restaurant is clean, updated and friendly. Food is simple but done right, portions are perfect and service is always on point. They do a wonderful job and you can tell there is a level of pride in this place. I’ll keep coming back.

I’ve been going to Kay’s for 25 years. This place is just legendary for its steak sandwiches. If you’ve never been there, a steak, cheese, mushroom and onion is a must! The menu has been expanded to include seafood, entrees and even raw bar. Everything I’ve had has been excellent. Service is always top notch too! Love it!

The steak sandwich was unreal. One of the best you’ll ever have. But the price? I kept looking up then looking at the bill as if it was some sort of mistake. Steak and cheese w/ mushrooms and onions on a bun slightly bigger than a hot dog roll….$15.66. Are we in NYC or Woonsocket? I get the inflation thing, but, c’mon. The tourist trap places in Philly are less expensive. So, instead of going 20 times per year, I’ll go once a year.

In my four decades or so of being a Woonsocket resident, I had never been to Kay’s. When a friend offered to treat me to lunch while he was in the city, this fact was mentioned and certain insistances were made. I found myself on the way to Kay’s, armed with the knowledge that the steak sandwich is good.

I love Kay’s. Unfortunately, I didn’t eat as I had met with my son earlier to grab a burger. I wish I could have had a steak sandwich. Maybe next time I am in Rhode Island, cheers , they do have great beer, I liked the Zombie Dust.
