Picked up food and my creamed chip beef wasn’t even cooked. I was missing my bacon and eggs side. We were also missing our scrapple. This is literally a health code issue. I’m not sure how this place doesn’t get shut down.

Kay’s Place absolutely delivered from start to finish. I ordered the whiting fish and egg sandwich on coco bread, and it was the kind of meal that makes you stop mid-bite. The whiting was seasoned perfectly, light, flaky, and fried just right with no greasy aftertaste. Paired with the soft, slightly sweet coco bread and a fresh, fluffy egg, it created the perfect balance of savory and sweet. Easily one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in a long time.

The waffles were top-tier, crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and full of flavor. You can tell they’re made with care because they don’t need anything extra to be good. They’re the kind of waffles you find yourself thinking about later in the day.

On top of the great food, the service was friendly and welcoming. The staff made the experience feel warm, personable, and genuine, like you’re being taken care of, not just served.

Overall, Kay’s Place feels like that reliable spot you can always count on for quality, flavor, and hospitality. Highly recommend.

For a small neighborhood diner, I’d definitely come back . The place was small but definitely had a neighborhood vibe to it ( if that makes sense) the service was great, the food was cooked right in front of us it definitely didn’t did not disappoint . I came in for breakfast but I’ll definitely double back because Ms Kay did her big one.

First time there and the service was super slow, our food took 45 minutes to be received dining in. Items were missing from our order. I asked for a coffee refill and never received it. There was no professionalism behind grill, the language was to be desired and constant conversation while cooking (answering personal calls). One woman on the grill was very loud and obnoxious like she was working outside versus working in a small diner. It seems that the persons working were all over the place with no management to ensure things were running smoothly, granted they had a new woman in training.

1 hour for two sandwiches. I understand you know that some delay it’s not fast food after all but I believe they actively had other customers ahead of me and all I ordered was two sandwiches. Unfortunately my personality tries to avoid confrontation at all means or else I would have asked for my money back.

New owners, but still a family owned establishment. They young people could have been a little more livelier. Greering customers as they come in, is a must for a counter diner. Also first come, first served should always be the case. But, we must have patience. Im glad I did. Overall, the food and service was good. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken wasn’t overly seasoned but that allowed me to enjoy my syrup and waffles with the chicken even more. Fresh chicken and was cooked just right. The eggs were teuly sunny side up and also fresh. Bacon was cooked just right. The side of grits could have been cooked a little more with more wayer to thin them out, they were stiff. However, the shrimp and grits was bomb. Just peel all my shrimp next time. This review is honest. So Im justvsaying my experience. I would and am going back. I eat out a lot, all around. This spot is good and should only go up from here.

The place is small but I wasn’t noticed when I first got there. It took a while for me to get my food. Food was ok but I won’t go out of way to come back there. They did play good music tho.
