Pros: Locally owned business with a diverse menu, inventive dishes, big portions.
Cons: The food is hit and miss, nothing really stands out. The burger patties themselves have little flavor so be careful of dishes like the horseshoe where there are plentiful fake ingredients and off flavors. I haven’t had a good fry on any visit, just have a fried flavor or that of old oil. Pizza’s have been decent but the sauce tends to be on the sweet side. Some ingredients may be quality because you absolutely can’t use anything fake to substitute them with while others simply come out of a can. I have heard good things about their Kaydee Kat burger but that may be where there is confusion in the kitchen, a burger with bacon doesn’t need much extra attention where one of pure beef does. There are many better burgers in Peoria and you get the same big, if not bigger portions.

I’ve been here before and the food was great, but after last night’s experience, I don’t ever plan on going back. Last night I ordered the blue burger and the blue cheese tasted horrible, to the point that I didn’t eat my burger even after I scraped the toppings off. I mentioned it to the waitress who went to the back and talk to the cooks. She came back and told me that the cook said that he had just opened the package of blue cheese. I’m sorry but if you’re telling me that I’m lying when the food tasted that terrible there is something wrong. The waitress also did a poor job is refilling drinks and checking on our table.

All that needs to be said about this place is they have bacon IN the fresh ground burger. Kaydee Kats is one of the better burger places in the area. If you choose to go here you will not be disappointed.

It took an hour and a half last night for my family of four to finish. We were outside. Towards the end of the meal our waitress apologized and said it was difficult for her to wait on us and a large table inside. Though it did not look too busy, I will not go back unless I want to spend the rest of the evening waiting in a burger and fries.

Very disappointed and didn’t even eat there. As we were reviewing the menu and received our drinks we decided this wasn’t what we had in mind for the evening. We politely told the server we were sorry and would pay for our drinks (tea and water). As we approached the counter to pay a “Manager” loudly expressed “They will have to pay for their drinks”. This was embarassing because we already indicated that we would pay and she made it seam as though we were walking out without paying for a meal. After she finally figured out how to charge us for a tea…. she expressed again that “She had to charge us because they couldn’t re-serve the drink after it was delivered to a table. Again, very annoying comment about something as trivial as a drink that we upfront mentioned we would pay for and apoligised to the server for leaving. I genuinly worry how “the rest of the business is” if the reaction from management is so poor customer service oriented. Generally we reserve our comments when we have a bad experience but this was too overwhelming and, being new to the area, allows us to express our disbelief to all our friends….. Good Luck Kaydee
