I can’t fly to Thailand right now, but Kay Thai Eatery in Fairfield is definitely the next best thing ✨
Everything I ordered was so flavorful and fresh — I had the Thai tea (a must!), spicy edamame, fried potstickers, Tom Yum fried rice, and the boat noodle soup. Every bite was cozy, bold, and full of authentic Thai flavor.
The staff were super friendly, the space felt warm and inviting, and the food came out quickly. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch date or when you’re craving something that tastes like a little adventure.
Highly recommend if you’re in Fairfield — this spot is a gem! ️

My mom and I visited for lunch on a Saturday and had a great meal! Nice menu with so many different options, most of which is homemade. The owner is so sweet and makes sure you’re well taken care of while also running the kitchen. I thought it was cool that they had fresh coconut water available, as you don’t see that too often around here! The food was tasty, and we definitely enjoyed the paradise Rama and garlic chicken. Wishing her the best of luck with her new business.

Stopped by for a visit at Kay today – first time as we are new to the area. Food was pretty good. My niece enjoyed her drunken noodles. Pad prik khing was ok – way too much oil. My son enjoyed the Fried Tofu.
I was more disappointed about the fact that when we walked in we were not greeted, and when we were – we were told that the restaurant was closing in 40 minutes ( despite the website saying 830 and it was only 2pm.). We agreed to eat quickly and ordered right away.
Another family came in and were welcomed without the same parameter. No one told them they had 40 minutes to eat… it was very unsettling and hard not to notice. wasnt a great feeling.

This eatery is primarily focused on take away service rather than sit down restaurant, creating a very strange atmosphere with all the people coming into the dining room for pick ups; and at busy times you may wait up to half an hour for your food. The waiter will alert you of such situation upon arrival though. The portions are generous and ingredients are of high quality. The main improvement point is the seasoning of food which is extremely sweet. The noodles, the curry, the sauces and even the soup are sugar bombs which detract from the authenticity of the Thai cuisine. A pity because it has potential.

I decided to get myself a birthday dinner and was really craving crispy garlic chicken like I used to eat when I lived in NY. When I picked up the food it smelled DELICIOUS, and pouring it out of its container it still looked nice and crispy even after the long drive. I took a bite however and it was so salty I immediately spat it back out. I thought maybe it was just that piece and tried another with the same result. Birthday dinner ruined and now I’ve got to figure out what to eat instead. I’m extremely unhappy

What a delightful find! The food was superb with a choice of how spicy I wanted it. I really enjoyed trying some items that I haven’t seen on other Thai menus. Kay and her son provided excellent, friendly service. Next time you want authentic Thai food, this is THE place to go!

Such a hidden gem! This place is tucked away in a small plaza in a very busy intersection but once you step in, it has a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The young fresh coconuts are perfect for a magical experience! All the Thai flavors are delicious and served with a smile. The owner recently moved here from Seattle and has a passion for cooking that you can feel immediately and as soon as you take that first bite!

We moved to the east coast from LA and have been looking for food Thai food for years! Every other place disappointed (too sweet, not fresh, etc). But Kay’s was fabulous! Delicious flavors, great service, warm conversation, so good. We will be back. (Note, this place seemed to have more take out customers than sit down, but that did not take away from our experience.)

I moved to the area and drive by Kay’s every day on the way home from work. It always looked like something I would love and today I stopped in for a Wednesday lunch on my only day off. Kay immediately offered me a seat and was extremely kind in every way. There was a lunch special of rice, pad Thai, crab dumplings and an entree of your choice! I went with the Massaman curry because it was something I have never heard of and that is something I always love to try to do and get something new. The food was ready in what seemed like less than 5 minutes and had amazing flavor. Never ending herb combinations and bombs of flavor unlike I’ve had in other Thai food. Kay talked to me the entire meal and was so nice to speak with and happy to answer any questions I had. I will 100% be going back and recommending this to all my friends in search for great Thai food! I hope to learn some of the Thai cooking practices and Kay was very happy to set up a time in the future I could come in a learn from her in the kitchen! A true dining experience unlike I could ever imagine. Thank you Kay ^_^
