Wanted to try some pretty good ramen since we don’t have a lot local where we normally live. Glad we came!
We started with the shashito peppers and spicy dumplings, both were incredible! Lots of flavor and not too much spice on either.
I go the 50/50 ramen my wife got the miso flavored one. Mine was very well made. Just the perfect amount of spice in the broth and the chasu was perfectly cooked and tasted great. It absolutely reminded me of the same ramen I ate in Japan many times. Her miso ramen was good but I found it to be a little flavorless, but I did try it after mine so it could’ve just been mine had much more flavor.
All in all though this place was great would definitely come again and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. Very pleasant experience.

We’re huge foodies and we fell in love with izakayas in Japan when we visited. I wish we remembered the name of our server. She was amazing. She guided us through the whole menu. We did about five dishes which was more than enough. I started with the Hokkaido leaves cocktail, which, as a whiskey lover, was one of the best craft cocktails I’ve had in a long time. The tofu starter was wonderful, as was this sashimi dish. Not one dish disappointed. The atmosphere was vibrant and on point for an izakaya. Go enjoy!

We had high hopes for place, especially with this Michelin recommendation, but were sorely disappointed. The only items on the menu that weren’t disappointing were the udon noodles and the Ramen. You can skip everything else. The tuna tataki did not taste fresh and it was probably some of the fishiest tuna I’ve ever had. The dumplings were OK, but I probably wouldn’t order them again. But the real miss was the Hamachi Kama— It was so unbelievably overcooked. It was like jerky. The chicken bao was half good and half bad because one of the chicken pieces was extremely tough. We did enjoy the 50-50 Ramen and the beef curry udon. But that isn’t in enough to return here.
In addition, service was incredibly slow and generally not very good at all, very inattentive. This is unfortunate because they bake a 20% surcharge into your bill. So you can think of this as being as expensive as ordering hotel room service, but without the good service.

Recommend by a friend of ours, we took a trip from Boulder to experience one of the coziest, warmest Japanese restaurants. In order, we received the Addictive Cabbage (cold, tangy, & top tier w added chili oil), Crab Fried Rice (warm, well seasoned, & only got better as it was mixed), Hamachi Kama (unique plating, lemon is a must, & perfectly portioned), & the 50/50 Spicy Miso Ramen (hot, stuffed with a runny egg, pork belly, fried chicken bites, corn, & a delightfully spiced miso broth).
We split everything between 3 people & felt more than satisfied. Absolute 10/10 & will share our experience with everyone around us!!

Food was delicious! Addictive cabbage, certainly was! Shaved broccoli salad and hamachi were wonderful too. Cold sesame noodles with peanut sauce were great.
Food prices are pretty high but expected, major downside was how LOUD the music was. Felt like we were at a concert and could hard hear each other across the table.

I made a reservation for my partner’s birthday. He’s not huge on celebrating birthdays, so I asked them to make it special. They kept it lowkey and wished him a Happy Birthday many, many times! They also brought out free mochi!! As a birthday treat!
We had Bethany P. and she was a FANTASTIC server! I meant to leave this review back in September when we attended, but I just came across the receipt again and wanted to tell EVERYONE that Bethany knows her stuff! She gave us great recommendations and really made our experience special.

Kawa Ni for me is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The dishes are not only beautifully presented, but they are also packed with incredible flavor. The ramen, with its rich broth and perfectly cooked pork belly, is a true standout. The dumplings are a must-try, offering a delightful blend of spices and a satisfying kick. And you absolutely cannot leave without trying the dessert the melon pan black sesame ice cream a unique and delicious way to end the meal. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making for a fantastic dining experience from start to finish.

I came here for my birthday last night and the food was amazing. I loved the crab fried rice and the karaage Don the most. The ambiance, not so much. The music was so freaking LOUD that my boyfriend and I could barely hear ourselves and I swear, there was a gong being hit every 5 minutes at one point. I think it was because of a large group birthday celebration that was going on clear across the restaurant. I would order takeout from here, but as long as the music is played this loudly, I probably won’t ever dine in here again. It was constant and so obnoxious it felt like I was in the middle of a bar or a club.

I am visiting Denver and wanted to try an Asian restaurant. I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. Drew and Erin at the bar had educated suggestions on the menu. The Hamachi is one of the most amazing things I have ever eaten. The red curry beef udon with butternut was phenomenal and the matcha tiramisu is such a cool variation on a classic dessert. Lots of good energy in the building.

Wow. Honestly, this may be the best restaurant in Denver. Simple but the flavor is divine — the true sign of an amazing chef. The vibe gives true izakaya, the drink menu is extensive, and 4-5 plates is perfect for 2 people. Highly recommend the addictive cabbage and the hamachi!
