Upon seeing our meatless order, a more experienced staff came up and personally asked us if we were vegetarians, and she requested the chef to switch our udon soup to a vegetarian soup base. Greatly appreciated!

One of only two very authentic Japanese eateries in Kuantan with a variety of sushi and rice dishes. Very popular place, sometimes depending on the day and time of day you might have to wait up to 10 minutes or more to be seated. Although their capacity is quite high due to the amount of tables and for them occupying two units and having an upstairs eating area as well. Ive ordered the saba shioyaki (soy sauce mackerel) many times and have enjoyed it immensely, their tonkatsu miso (pork cutlet in miso) is also quite good and sorth a try. I also really love their miso soup its strong in flavor yet light on the stomach and amazing when its hot. Most rice dishes come with pickled radish and plum as well as shredded seaweed. This place serves sake as well (japanese alcohol), drinks are decent with water and some fresh juices like watermelon. Quite a good place to dine with family or friends, service is also good as wait staff are friendly and willing to help.

There aren’t many Japanese restaurants in Kuantan, and this is the one we’ve been to the most. The food is delicious, they’ve recently added a few more dishes, and the prices are reasonable.

This is my favourite japanese restaurant in Kuantan. They have many choices in terms of food selections. They have their own version of japanese foods that i cannot find anywhere else too. Portion is generous for the pricing. Overall environment is comfortable with plenty of seatings.

One of the better Japanese restaurant in town. Lots of choices in the menu, staff are efficient, ambience is ok..would be better if they have more Japanese-style decor..but more importantly food quality here is consistent. Do make advance reservation especially during dinner at weekends which can get quite crowded.

Stumbled on this quaint little Japanese restaurant in Kuantan. Food was surprisingly good. Generous portions served and pricing was reasonable considering what we ordered. Nice ambience and service was quick and orderly. Parking is convenient along the street. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience for us.

Food maintaining standards. Order via QR. Pay at counter. Lots of new menu to try. Had salmon porridge, something new in Japanese cuisine. Truly living up to expectations as one of the most authentic Japanese restaurant in kuantan.

Patronised on a late afternoon on weekend. Plenty of seats available. Ordered set rice with grilled saba fish, and a cheese prawn roll (ebi tempura maki). Definitely a hearty meal. I quite like it. Street parking available. And it is true the menu stinks. @.@ please do something about it as that’s the very first thing customer will touch..

Spacious and pleasant Japanese restaurant. One of the better places I’ve tried in Kuantan. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Sushi and sashimi were not the best but for a small city, pretty good. I had the Kawa Bento and enjoyed it.
Even when very busy the service and wait times seem reasonable. They even have a robot server.

One of the rare few Japanese restaurant in Kuantan.
Service is fast and courteous. The toilet is surprisingly impressive and large for a restaurant in a shoplot.
Food is OK. Plenty of choices though. Even have fusion like petai curry rice. At prices of typical of Japanese restaurants in KL, the flavour and quality are not up to mark.
Eat here only if you really can’t hold back your Japanese food cravings.

This is one of the better Japanese restaurant in Kuantan. Most dishes are authentic but some for me personally seem localised. I tried their Miso Chicken Katsu and it was very different. Tasty but not salty from the miso, paired well with rice. Rich in flavour. Good thing there’s no chicken smell here. Salmon Skin Maki didn’t disappoint, this is a good indicator on how well its made. Pass! Another interesting dish is the Salmon with Cheese in Hot Stone, like the HK Cheese Baked rice but with expensive ingredients. Recommended if you like something different and cheese. Overall it’s still good for what they offer. Some items can be a bit pricey if you are familiar with those in KL.
