But what truly makes Kaviar special is the people. Massive shoutout to NU, the bartender who made some of the most creative and beautifully balanced cocktails we’ve ever had. Our experience was disappointing. The first order took 1 hour to arrive, and the second order took 56 minutes. When we asked to cancel an item, the server said it was ready and offered it for free, but we didn’t want it because we were already full. The server didn’t check on us while we were waiting and assumed we had everything, but we were still missing an item. The service was poor, and the food was nothing special. I wouldn’t return. Reviews online had seemed good, but our experience was the opposite.

We went for LA restaurant week. The curated menu gave a perfect sampling of this restaurant’s options from wagyu tacos to edamame to sashimi to signature rolls to warm seafood dishes. A memorable dinner. On this day, we celebrated my son’s birthday in advance. We chose this Japanese restaurant, as we had been here several times before. The dishes we ordered were all very satisfactory. Before placing our orders, I ordered a lychee cocktail, which was very delicious and highly recommended. However, this cocktail was given to me rather late. During the meal, the waiter helped us take the birthday cake we brought along to the refrigerator for storage. I was very grateful for his thoughtful service. After the meal, the waiter helped take out the cake we had stored and inserted their store’s fireworks candles on it. This was more surprising than ordinary candles. Thank you. The only drawback is that the style of this restaurant is dark, with dim lighting. The birthday photos we took were all rather dark. Even when we used three table lamps on the table to supplement the light, the light effect was rather strange. If you wanted to take photos in the restaurant that night, this is not a good choice.

The food was finger-licking good. We started with caviar service and the mussels, honestly they were the best I’ve ever had. The yellowtail sashimi literally melted in my mouth. The crispy rice was unique and perfectly done.
We also tried the coconut mango roll, escolar roll, and crispy tuna roll—every single one was incredible. To finish, we had the Black Cod, which was the cherry on top.
And I can’t forget the Dew Martini—soooo good.
Amazing food, great vibes, and top-notch service. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
