We had our 35th year high school reunion here with about 50 people. We had the room on the side reserved and it was warm in there. I like the set up tho. High tables with bench seating on the far walls. Intimate so you’re mingling at every turn but it was warm.

The service was exceptional for a single server. The Iberico pork was very good and the lobster bisque was the star of the show. The ribeye lacked any flavor and the lobster tail was overcooked to the point of being rubbery. I had tremendously high hopes for this restaurant but left feeling very underwhelmed.

First time at this restaurant, and it was a semi-special occasion. Regardless, I definitely recommend this place. I wasn’t disappointed at any point during the night. Our server, Triston I believe his name is, did an excellent job and acted 5 steps ahead, anticipating things we would or wouldn’t need. Excellent service! The food was also excellent, starting with the appetizer, the Katz Meow and the Lobster Bisque. Both excellent starters, especially as seafood options.

4.5 stars! The Greek-style lamb was exemplary. The bread is a sourdough that’s rested for 24 hours, so it’s incredibly flavorful. If you have the lobster bisque, it’s sweet, so ask for some ground peppercorn — goes a long way. Highly recommend!

Had a fabulous dinner at Katz last night! Out server John was top notch and we took him up on all of his suggestions and we were not disappointed. The best steaks I have ever eaten. 8oz filet mignon with whipped potatoes along with the Katz steak and cake was amazing. The appetizer “the katz meow” was so delicious! We will definitely be back next time we are in Corpus.

We overall had a very good experience. The escargot with crab was ok, the crab cake was ok (the sauce over powered it) the beef dishes were very good (flavorful and tender), the lobster Mac n cheese was mediocre (dry and not much flavor and not worth the extra $24) and the bananas foster was very good. The service was very good and attentive, but felt a little like they were constantly up selling. I would return, knowing a little better what dishes to order.
