Had dinner here tonight. It was absolutely wonderful. I went with a friend who’d heard good things. We shared Borscht, a plate of pierogi like dumplings and cabbage rolls. Super delicious. I honestly didn’t think I’d like the borscht, but it was probably my favourite. For dessert we had honey cake and meteorit cake. This place has a large selection of amazing desserts, a cappuccino espresso machine a small selection of savoury dishes and a daily special. I can’t wait to do back. There’s so much love put into the preparations of these dishes and you can taste it. Truly beautiful flavours.

Hello, this is my first time here, when I found out about this restaurant I was very excited to try some delicious Piroshki’s and some Russian food! ( I honestly thought the food is going to taste as good as the Russian store in Tacoma or at least my mom’s, aunts or Grandma’s) I got myself two potato piroshki’s and PLOV, honestly I was very disappointed and I’m never buying potato piroshki’s again… The fact that they were very oily was the least of my worries. The potatoes were tasteless! And PLOV even though it looks good and the advertisement picture was very appealing, In reality, it doesn’t even taste like real PLOV, ( I mean come on my mom makes better PLOV, or go to any other Russian Church. They’ll make a good PLOV!) It had so much spices you’ll be better off calling it Indian rice with meat! I really hope they get a NEW COOK! I cannot speak about pastry because I haven’t tried it but it as well looks very appealing! Plus the environment is really nice and the registeration staff were really nice as well. ( Except the AC was blasting in there when it’s already not hot outside)

My new regular spot if I am near. The cabbage rolls were amazing! The pastries looked delicious, the cafe was busy but not packed, and the staff was super sweet. I can’t wait to try more from their menu. *They seem to have a daily special, the sign is on the counter.
The two women behind the counter were super sweet, helpful, and spoke English very well and very clearly. The cafe was extremely clean, including the bathroom.

This place is a gem! Came in to try the Borscht and it did not disappoint! Cute little dining area and you get to look at all the pastries on display as you enjoy your meal. As I ate I watched people come in and grab whole cakes out of the fridge and it inspired me to grab a slice of honey cake on my way out. I ate in the restaurant portion but as I was leaving I noticed next door there is a market attached with European goods. This place is amazing and if you are in the area I highly recommend you stop in.

The food is absolutely delicious — borscht, vareniki, pastries, salads, cakes, and crepes are all amazing. However, most of the staff speak Russian and don’t understand Ukrainian. The dishes are always chipped — it has happened every time I’ve visited, so it doesn’t seem like a coincidence. There’s plenty of free street parking nearby. Right next door, there’s their own store with a variety of products, but unfortunately, most of them are from Russia, while Ukrainian goods are much less represented

Lovely place to sit and chat, delicious food, nice people. I was very impressed with their selection, well beyond the usual favorites and everything we had was beautifully made with generous portions even of meat fillings.

Once a friend of ours was recommended to Katya’s bakery, there isn’t a dinner or party they happened without her stopping by for an amazing dessert, cake or treat. They are always fresh, delicious and unforgettable—and they look amazing too. Highly recommended

Food was really good! We had cake pops, macaroons and eclairs. There was a large selection and variety of sweets and breads. We will definitely come back for more! Could have used some music to cut the silence. Was a great experience.

We have been going here for many years and highly recommend their pastries. All the sweets are always fantastic! I would suggest to try puffy cream with cherry and some traditional Russian-Ukranian desserts such as Honey cake, Ideal, Napoleon. Everything is delicious!

I was recommended this place as a Ukrainian café, so I came with clear expectations: good service, authentic food, and the ability to communicate in Ukrainian.
Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
The cashier did not speak Ukrainian at all. When I switched to English, she continued speaking Russian, which is unacceptable to me in a place that presents itself as Ukrainian.
In the store area, Ukrainian products are displayed right next to Russian products. I do not understand or support this approach, especially for a business that claims to represent Ukrainian culture.
Another cashier also did not speak Ukrainian, but at least immediately switched to English.
If a place calls itself Ukrainian, language and values matter.
This experience felt disappointing and inconsistent with how the café is positioned.
I will not be coming back and cannot recommend this place.
