Cheese katsu dish was delicious and staff was friendly and polite. Served with onions/jalapenos (first time seeing that), cabbage dressed in a spicy mustard sesame sauce (I think). Cabbage is on the thicker crunchier side, but fresh and delicious. Everything was very satisfying and will be well worth the return. Thank you Katsune!

I had a chance to stop by this location while I was in the area, and it was my first time here, as I usually stick to the Fort Lee location. I was happy to find that the quality is just as excellent and consistent.
The tonkatsu tasted similar to what I always get, delivering that great flavor and crunch that I’ve come to expect from them. If you’re already a fan of their other spots, you can trust that this one maintains the high standard. Highly recommended!

It’s pretty awesome to devour unexpected high quality of donkatsu (pork cutlets) in a food court setting.
There’s only one other restaurant that makes better or similar donkatsu in NJ. That would be Katsune in Fort Lee. Katsune simply knows how to fry cutlets crispy without being greasy. While maintaining the juicy and savory protein inside the fried bread crumbs.
I highly recommend Katsune Donkatsu if you are visiting Little Ferry Hmart and looking something to eat.

Located inside the food court of the HMart in Little Ferry, this establishment recently opened in March at the former site of Menya Sandaime, where I came for lunch as a first-timer. Katsune Donkatsu features different katsus (panko-breaded meats). Most of them are variants on pork, though they offered chicken and shrimp as well. Greeted by the staff, I decided on their Katsune Donkatsu (deep-fried pork accompanied by salad, pickled onions, and rice). Perfectly cooked all the way through, as all pork should be with no fat, and fried outside in definitely fresh oil to look and taste. This was home-made bread crumbs (panko) done to perfection with fresh ingredients. It was so crispy, juicy, delicious, and not greasy. I was impressed by the quality of the food. The price was very reasonable, as the order was enough for two meals. The staff was very friendly and served promptly. I can recommend this place.

Ordered takeout and pork katsu was good, but the shrimp katsu was inedible. Way overcooked, way over breaded, extremely salty. We couldn’t eat more than a few bites, and were surprised it was allowed out of the kitchen in that state. Very disappointed since we like the other location so much. Won’t be ordering here again

Absolutely delicious don katsu! Super crispy, flavorful, and made with care. You can tell they take pride in their food. Can’t wait to come back—hope this place gets the love it deserves!

Honestly best tonkutsu I’ve had in a very long time. I got the curry and tonkatsu, and the meat was very tender and honestly perfectly cooked. The meat was so soft. Curry was good too, but for me it was the meat. I’ll definitely be back. Also very fairly priced, especially considering everything’s so high.

The katsu curry is very very good, but everything is served in a separate plastic container. So much plastic waste! Please use reusable bowls like all of the other restaurants in the food hall.

oh my god. The crust on the outside is so crispy (my sons Changwoo and Ethan LOVE IT) and the meat is nice and juicy. You have to go inside of Hmart to get to this delicious stand, but it is well worth the trip because you will not find a katsu like this anywhere else. To die for.
