We came here for a late Sunday brunch. I had the Mexicala omelette with hash browns, which was very good.
My wife had the surgery pancakes, hash browns and scrambled egg. Too much food, but I saved her embarrassment and finished it all off. The whole-wheat pancakes were excellent, light and fluffy.
Very busy when we got there after 11am. I would suggest earlier than that if you don’t want it as busy. We didn’t have to wait for a table though and the servers appeared very able to cope with the load.
A local bald eagle came and sat in one of the trees almost all of the time we were there. A lot of people seemed surprised, but it is a regular visitor.
Once you’ve eaten your food, there is a whole loop of the park that you can use to walk it off.
Only thing to be mindful of: there are no latte options here, just regular coffee.
As people were leaving they told us to flag down someone to seat us because they waited a while to be seated. It was not busy on a Monday morning and it only took a few minutes to get a table.
The patio is great and overlooks the lake. There is also indoor seating.
Our server was a bit on the slow side but he took our orders and everything came out perfect. Food is just average.
I had the southwest omelette. I guess I would have preferred my Chile either diced or laid out a letter more evenly. When I bit into my omelette I got a nice big mouthful of canned Ortega chile. Ehhhh….
1.50 extra for 3 slices of avocado, $4.99 for 2 slices of bacon. I get inflation but it just seems a little high.
Potatoes were great, English muffin was nice and big. I just don’t see what everyone is raving over.
Glad we tried it and had a nice time with friends but ehhhh. Nothing spectacular about the food.
